"Condo Related" and "Condo Drawing" documents for PVB showing up in the county comptroller documents.
Definitely new declaration. Documents have now been uploaded.

@tjkraz @wdrl @pkrieger2287

Phase 90 - Unit 90A and 90B (third floor)

Document # 20250167246 is the condo drawing (it's been uploaded).

I sure hope this means a little more breathing room on 7 month availability. I am annoyed at the sparse options at the Tower for the next 7 months using my SAP!
Yeah, the tower has had zippo availability at 7 months :(

Agreed. I couldn't believe it when a waitlist came through for me. Snagged 1 night in a duo studio for early June. Can't wait!

I would have done the same for my June trip but we are a group of 4! Ended up with VGF instead!!

When they declare more rooms into the dvc pool. How do we know what the start date is or do we know a range and with all the squares fill up blue for a brief moment in time at a rare unknown time to all?

It’s all those bungalow points. Honestly I don’t see anytime in the near future much 7 month availability at the Island Tower. DVC sold millions and millions of points for those bungalows that very few have enough points to stay at. Disney loves them because they can rent them for cash.

Agree the bungalows account for a lot of points, but data doesn’t indicate “millions and millions”.

Original PVB was 4,032,720 points. 360 longhouse studios (72 preferred view and 288 resort view). 20 longhouses (preferred view).

Sample week Oct 12-19. Bungalow 1094, studio PV 185, and studio RV 160.
For that sample week
  • 288 RV studios total is 46,080. 56.68%
  • 72 PV studios total 13,320. 16.39%
  • 20 bungalows total 21,180. 26.06%
Total points that week for the OG PVB, 81,280.

If the percentage per room type is relatively consistent across all dates…
  • 288 RV studios account for 2,285,745 points
  • 72 PV studios account for 660,856 points
  • 20 bungalows account for 1,050,757 points
Obviously a lot of points for bungalows, but not millions and millions.

Me being paranoid… a point may be change is coming now that we know some tower rooms are clearly classified incorrectly. As @Sandisw has pointed out, a room classification change happened with BLT in either 2010 or 2010 (resort opened August 2009). BLT points changed for some rooms based on views because of the shift. If the markets weren’t so terrible right now, we would consider selling our existing PVB contracts and buying a FW 1BR TPV. I fear bungalows may go down in points to make them more popular.

We are booked at BLT in September and I’ve been checking for longhouse studio availability for my parents. The morning of 3/20 I saw 3 consecutive nights in a one bedroom in the tower that I was able to grab! I don’t like switching resorts right now as our kids are small and it’s annoying but I’ll suck it up this trip! I couldn’t believe my eyes, now I’m thinking it was new inventory added vs someone canceling.

I'm guessing the summer months are the slowest for DVC as we had zero trouble getting into Island Tower at 7 months for our upcoming June/July trip.

That might have been me cancelling - kind of wish I didn’t but my niece decided she’d rather go in Oct.

I’m looking at Poly availability and can’t understand the room categories.

For the Tower Studios there is Resort View, Preferred View and Theme Park View.

For the Tower Duo there is Resort View, Premium View and Preferred View.

Why are the tiers named differently?

If people prefer premium views, which should they pick: Preferred or Premium?

It’s super confusing isn’t it?!

The fact that some of those duo studios had the view slightly obscured by the set back balconies led them to hold off giving them the TPV designation. Yet a studio on the ground floor with views of the lagoon and no theme park still carries TPV!

Anybody want to hazard a guess as to when they’ll release another new group of inventory? I’d still love to get 5 nights in a 1BR for Sept. I’m hesitant to setup a WL because I’d need to replace another 5 days in Oct. but I know it’s hard to get more than a day or 2 via WL….and I can’t piecemeal a WL with shorter time frames because I want to reuse the Oct. points.

Premium is the duo version of Theme Park but they can't "guarantee" a good view of the park, as I understand it.

I would not count on a declaration improving the inventory in time. The extra room inventory from the December and March declarations should already be showing up in room inventory. Here's why I think this...

Some smart people (@ehh and probably some others) periodically monitor the inventory for rooms in the distant future. My limited understanding is they detect inventory increasing before Disney makes another declaration.

For example, @ehh had this post.

I'm not sure why, but it looks like there may be a declaration of 14 more cabins inbound.

And by inbound, I mean like mid-Feb 2026.
