2TS restaurant w/kids...

We are looking for a 2TS restaurant that will be fun for our two kids as well as delicious for us big kids. Our kids don't need the high energy entertainment of Chef Mickey, but we would like it to be somewhat entertaining (views of the parks, the look of the restaurant) and have excellent food. I'm leaning toward Cali Grill or Citricos. But have never been to either.

We just ate at Teppan Edo in Japan last week and absolutely loved it. My 8yo daughter can't wait to do it again.

EDIT: Oops, sorry I just noticed you wanted 2TS credits. I would say California Grill, but just for the view.

We have taken our 3 grandchildren to Ohana's twice and they like it a lot. They also enjoy PrimeTime cafe.

We have been thinking about the same thing. Last year, we did Cinderella's Royal Table for dinner. The food was pretty good.
This year we are thinking of an early dinner at Narcoosee's. We have heard great reviews, and from what I have read, the restaurant is not an overly quiet enviroment. I just don't want to stand out with the kids... aged 5 and 7.

I think Narcoosees and CG are the most kid friendly of the signatures because they do offer nice views. I've never seen anything but very well behaved children in the signatures. Also, keep in mind, that the dining in the signatures is at a slower pace. Your children will be sitting for a longer period of time than you would expect at the 1TS restaurants.

BTW, Citricos is pretty adult oriented. There is no view, nothing inside that would be of interest to children. While I have seen some children here, they have been more the exception than the norm. Citricos offers wine pairing, etc so the clientele is more adult and the atmosphere is more subdued.

Our DD has always enjoyed the Flying Fish at the Boardwalk, even when she was 2 years old. The decor is really nice, but there are "hidden" and not so hidden fish all around (in the lamps, doorknobs, etc.) and that kept her busy. We played the game of how many hidden fish can you find and had a great time. Plus, the view of the BW and the lake are quite nice.

For some reason, she didn't like CG even though we were up there for the fireworks. (Could be that she was tired, though).

We ate at a signature most nights of our trip in September. I think California Grill and Narcoossees are your best bets for views and general distraction. Citricos, Brown Derby (my kids are most bored here, I dunno why) and Yachtsman's your least kid-friendly option though it was still fine, of course, and the food is good to wonderful. I'd plug Jiko too as our favorite signature, the kid's menu is the fave of my crew and the thought of getting to visit the animals keeps them in line during the meal.
