I swear I submitted this correctly, but 20 minutes later, I can't find the thread. Forgive me if it's out there, but I think my computer is just acting wacky..so here I go again.

We don't like crowds. So we go to WDW off season and can do just about as much in 4-5 days off season, as a week-8 days peak season. We have a snow day coming up April 15, so wrapping it around that weekend would be great. Do you think we will be far enough away from Easter, and far enough away from the 50th ann. celebration to avoid huge crowds? What "season" is that considered? Independence has a "sale flight" for $49/one way! Just wondering if it will be crowded...I appreciate the info! ( of course, this is assuming that we don't need our snow-make-up day..maybe it won't snow us in from school this year!)

If anyone sees my other thread-please link it! I have no idea what happened!!

We are in the same "boat". We have decided on either an April or May trip because we really don't like crowds either. Here is what I have knocked myself out on while reading these boards....

Some say that April is pretty busy each year even though Easter is in March this year. Others warn against the end of April because of Grad Nights. We have been there the second week of May and absolutely loved it but are afraid of doing that this year because of the celebration this year. We have mostly decided to go from April 18-23 this year and are hoping for the best. We were there in April of '92 and that has been a long time but the crowds were awesome!

I wish you luck becuase I know how you feel. I just hope we don't make the wrong decision on when to go. We drive 15hrs. to get there and really don't want to wait hours to ride things. Maybe we'll both be lucky and have moderate crowds at best.

:cool1:

Resort rates are still at peak through 4/17. Go after that and you should see a good rate from 4/18 through Memorial Day which is also a lower attendance period.

Someone did a poll of who was going in APril, and the second week had the lowest # of responses.

There are still AP discounts available for check ins through the 17th, if that helps.

I have made 4 april trips in the last 5 years and it is my favorite time to go. I always plan to go a week after Easter...the crowds die down alot! The weather is perfection...sunshine all week long with MAYBE one day of rain...temps in the 70's and 80's. We never had to wait very long for any ride or attraction. There were lots of people...but I've been there in July and April is definitely a cake walk compared to that!!
