2nd Save VMK Walk this Wednesday 5/7 2pm PST!!

Okay here we go again! We are walking on VMK in the 2nd Save VMK Walk this Wednesday 5/7 at 2pm PST.

I'm happy to organize another walk as the 1st one was such a great success! This time around there will be multiple rooms that will be used as staging rooms. Go into one of the rooms with "Save VMK Walk" in the room description to join in on a walk.

During the last walk people wore either green or black and each group that was released started at the Esplanade b/c that seems to be the place the people go to "cry" about the closing of VMK. After that, the leader of the group decided where to go based on Advanced Mode. As the word spread on the walk, the queue grew & grew. I'm hoping each of the Save VMK Walk rooms will be full, and will send us to the top of the Popular Rooms list. As HOSTs are roaming around VMK, it would be great to get their attention too.

I am looking for the following help...
- I need at least three others that would like to create and open up a Save VMK Walk staging room starting at 2pm PST. I think we will run the walk over about 2 hours. OneLittleSpark has already volunteered (thank you!!!) so if we have 5 rooms total that would be great.

- I need volunteers to capture the walk either via screenshots, video capture, you tube video, etc.. These images will be posted at VMK Blog: Save VMK! and SaveVMK.com is also interested in any captures we get from the walk. (they also will publicize the walk in advance like with last week's walk)

- Get the word out on any other forums you may visit...

Yay for another walk!

I've had a few ideas, that anyone else doing a walk room is welcome to take. Firstly, I've put photos on the wall, explaining the procedure for anyone who didn't take past last time, or isn't sure what to do. I'm hoping this will help cut down on the amount of time I need to spend explaining things, and help get groups in and out more quickly.

Secondly, I've put chairs behind the leaders chair to try and reduce the amount of people milling about and make it clear to the leader who is in their group. That way, as soon as the chairs are full and the friending is done, that group can set off.

Good luck to everyone running a room or joining the walk! We will keep shouting until they listen!

Great suggestions!

I willl most certainly add the chairs as it was tricky to get people to form the line of five (some were to the side, some behind...grass roots organization!). Now that we are more "mobilized" we can make improvements and this should really help.

I will also work on my pictures in my room to make things go a little smoother.

Just to let everyone know, I may be able to open my room a bit earlier than 2pm VMK time, so keep watching your room listings or this thread. I'll post up when I open, or as soon as I remember after opening

Oh, and Mouse? If you need an extra body for the photos, just give me a shout. I managed to rope one of my friends in, just so my photos didn't make me look like Billy-No-Mates

I've put four seats behind each chair, so we can get groups of five sent out at a time. I thought five was a nice number, and would mean we could have more than one group mustering at a time. Also, I happened to have a load of Everest Couches lying around, lol.

I'll try and get one half of a teleporter to someone running one of the later rooms, so that I can push everyone through quickly, when I need to go to bed. Anyone else running an 'earlier' room, might want to think about doing the same.
