2nd lens holder while at parks?

I've got a BR strap but I usually carry around my camera along with a 2nd lens in a messenger style bag for convenience. Although I almost always end up carrying the camera outside the bag via the strap - Having the bag along helps with other things like going on rides and carrying stuff from shopping.

On the down side it means I get to go through security for the bag check when entering parks. (Whoo-hoo!) I'd like to try to cut that down this trip if possible - Anyone have any good ideas for how to carry around a 2nd lens with a BR strap? Belt holster?

I've got a Canon 6D, the 16-35, a 24-75 and a 70-300 (I don't generally take the 70-300 with me into the parks - although I did last Christmas season and got some spectacular shots)

If any of your lenses have a tripod mount, this will work.

When I'm only using one camera and want to carry my 70-200 while my 28-70is mounted to the camera, I attach the second strap of my BR Double Strap to the tripod mount of the lens. Its real easy to switch back and forth. If you are using a BR RS-4 strap, a second RS-4 can be attached by coupler straps to form a two rig strap. Its not quite as comfortable as the Double, but will work.

I'm not sure if your 70-300 comes with a tripod mount.

FYI, even a belt holster will require you to go through the bag line, providing Security sees it.
