Okay, experts, help me out here.

Planning a 3 nite trip w/ DBF(his first in at least 15 years) for F&W and Concert series. I've reserved BWV for Monday, Wednesday and am waitlisted for Tuesay nite. Obviously we want to be close to Epcot and get in via International Gateway.

So now I'm really studying the maps more carefully and wondering if I should try to get into BCV instead. I haven't made any specific requests for BWV - should I?

I have a knee that needs arthroscopic and though it's better than it was in 2 previous WDW trips - last August in bad crocs and this past January (in Birkenstocks and 1.2 day of an ECV) - I don't want to be killed by the walking and have no plans to try the ECV this time.

I so want this trip to be special and really "WOW!" DBF - he does need to do Soarin', Fantasmic, Spectro, Wishes, Illuminations - all in addition to F&W booths and music.I thought at BW he'd LOVE Jellyrolls and all the BW action - but not if we're "miles" away in the furthest 1BR.

Am I being too ambitious in the planning? Would BCV be just as good? Closer to IG a bit? Think me BWV waitlist will come thru??LOL!

Please help me out and share your thoughts, recommendations, etc. I'm new to DVC but a WDW vet never having stayed at Epcot resorts except for 3 days at YC when I asked to be moved to WL last summer...but that's another story!!

It is a shorter walk from BCV to International Gateway than the walk from BWV's, but if you take the boat from BWV, the IG is the next stop, so that's faster than the boat from BC.

If you are talking about this year, I would keep what I have and hope for the waitlist for the single day, since you really want to stay at the BW area. Even in the furthest villla in the BWV, you are not miles away! If you do have standard view, I wouldn't ask to be close to the elevaors because, that's where the luggage cage noise is most noticable, in the sv that are close to the elevators, but if you are in preferred room, I would add that request to the reservation so you wouldn't be that far away from the BW. These are not necessarily the best views, except for the ones that look at the Village Green, but if walking is a concern, I would make that request.

PS. If I could get the same villa accomodations anywhere for all 3 nights at this late date, that's what I would do. For a 3 night trip, I would hate to have to move each morning.

PS. Here's some pixie dust! I hope you get a 3 night BWV stay!pixiedust:

thank you SOO much Bobbiwoz.

I guess maybe I will call any SEE if there's any BCV while I keep my fingers crossed for BWV - I do appreciate your input about distances.

I think if it weren't for DBF:love:, I would NOT be questioning myself...he's glad he's going and it doesn't have to be "perfect"!!!

Well, I stayed at BWV in Oct. last year and it was perfect! So, no worries. Stayed at BCV in jaunary and it was perfect too, LOL. Maybe I am the wrong person to ask! ;)

Either resort is super nice and close enough. Often we stay at the S/D resort next door and it is perfect also!!

I hope your Tuesday night comes through. BWV is a beautiful resort. We totally enjoyed our stay there.
