So I had such a fantastic time on my Christmas Magic cruise that I changed my plans for my birthday and instead of doing Disney World for a week we are putting a four day cruise on the Dream in the middle. I'm so excited. I'm not sure if the 4 days will feel too short, but I got reservations at Victoria and Albert's for my birthday that I won't give up so the 4 days is all we can do.

I'm trying to decide on the specialty restaurants. Since this cruise is so short I'm leaning towards not doing anything. I had been considering Remy (we ate at Palo on our first cruise and loved it) but I don't want to miss any of the MDR or shows. I'm also worried that I'll be comparing this meal to Victoria and Albert's the entire time and it might just be too much for one trip. Thoughts?

Also, is there any must dos on the Dream that I have to try that I wouldn't have been able to experience on the Magic?

It'll just be me and my boyfriend this trip again.

You *could* always do brunch at Palo or Remy. I've never done V&A (or had a desire to - I'm not really into frou-frou food), so I can't answer that. That said, the only night that would repeat a dining room would be Pirate Night, and that menu is the same in all - so if you book Palo or Remy for Pirate Night you wouldn't miss anything MDR-wise in terms of rotational. (Pirate night is pretty easy to figure out - check On Board Fun for Pirate League rather than regular BBB.)

In terms of must-dos, Midship Detective Agency is fun (only on Dream Class). As is the Art of the Theme Show Tour (I don't know if that is offered on the Classics.)

We love Remy and Palo and V&A. On our recent seven day cruise WDW we did Remy (brunch, dinner, dessert), Palo (brunch, dinner) and V&A (QVR). Remy is definitely equivalent to V&A, although V&A has access to more fresh ingredients than the ship. But for a four day cruise, especially if you haven't been on that ship and you're still doing V&A, I'd skip both in favour of experiencing the MDRs. It was our 10th cruise although the first on the Fantasy so we didn't feel like we were missing too much (besides we have a placeholder and that will definitely not be our last) and we fully intend to cruise on her again so anything we've missed we'll catch up on later. But for a 4-day, I'd stick with the basics. You still have 2 more ships to go plus the new ones!

Thanks for the suggestions! I had thought about the brunch, but I'm not sure what we'll be doing each day and isn't brunch only on a sea day? I think there's only one of those for a 4 day so we'll probably be relaxing by the pool that day. My first Disney cruise has me totally hooked. The moment I got off the ship I wanted to go back on it.

I'd do brunch. at least reserve it when your booking window opens, you can always cancel it as the cruise gets closer but it might be hard to get if you wait

What day would be best for brunch? Is it only offered on the one sea day? Should I go with Remy since I had Palo dinner, or is Palo brunch different enough I should try that?
