We are celebrating our dd 2nd birthday at dl. We dont need to spend a lot on dinner because she is so young and doesn't eat much but I want somewhere where we can get her a fun dessert or cupcake with candles in it. Any ideas would be appreciated. We may even have the dinner and dessert at different places and if I have to I will bring my own candles. Thanks guys!

I haven't been with the new menu yet, but I saw that Hungry Bear has a really cute cupcake with a little bee on it. I have read that it is really tasty too. For dinner you might consider the new Jolly Roger Cafe on Main Street. They also have some desserts. With both of these you would need to bring your own candles. Have Fun!

Oh, and there is a review/blog about the Jolly Roger Cafe on here. Looks good!

I think you mean the new Jolly Holiday Bakery. (Named after the song from "Mary Poppins"). It has a Mary Poppins theme. :)

Just so you know, 2 and under are free at character meals and buffets. We did Goofys kitchen for DS's bday. We got a birthday card for him and that's what we had the chatacters sign instead of an autograph book.

You are right!! I couldn't remember the name and I quickly looked it up online and got it wrong! Thanks for getting the correction!

I agree with the Goofy's Kitchen idea. We had DS's birthday there and the staff came out with a cupcake (along with a lighted candle) and sang Happy Birthday to him. They usually bring along a character too, and in our case, it was the Mad Hatter. My DS thought it was so cool that the Mad Hatter also sang Happy Birthday to him! And as mentioned above, your DD will be free since she is 2, so that would be another great reason to dine there. When you make the reservation, be sure to mention that it is her birthday so that they will know ahead of time, and ask them about getting the cupcake for her. When we arrived for DS's birthday, they already had balloons tied to the chair where he was going to sit, so ask about that too when you call them. :)

That is the best idea! Thank you! We are going to for DD's 1st birthday and she'll obviously be too young to remember - what a great keepsake for her to look back at.

Thank you everyone. We just had breakfast with minnie in december and she is still talking about minnie kissing her. If we do another character meal it might be a different one, however she loves minnie. Looks like I need to talk to daddy.

Does anyone know where we could eat with daisy? She loves her too. :0)

We saw Daisy at Mickey's Surf's Up at the PPH in May and December and at Minnie's at the Plaza Inn in December.

Remember that the Plaza Inn is not a character meal after breakfast. Nor is Surfs Up!. Really the only place for a character dinner is Goofy's Kitchen.
