No, the Sun Wheel is not going to be demolished, just re-themed. In September it will go down to add a giant Mickey face to replace the Sun.
Afternoon/Evening of Day 2:
So Mark and I had the whole afternoon while the girls went swimming at the DLH pool. We did a lot of minor attractions that we don't usually do. First off we saw MuppetVision, which Mark had never seen.
We had just missed the show so we watched the pre-show which is cheesy, but it truly is a pre-show and helps the plot of the actual movie.
We watched the show and while it isn't one of the best 3D movies, I enjoy it because of the way the whole theather and Audio Animatronics are involved. Then we rode Monster's Inc. with a 20 minute line. I really like this ride too and when we got to Roz, I made a face at the camera and she asked us "in the back row" if we were friends.
Then we headed into Disney Animation where we saw the Toy Story zoetrope. It was amazing how realistic the figures looked. I highly recommend seeing this if you go to DCA. We didn't have a huge desire to see Turtle Talk (although it can be funny), but we definitely wanted to do the "Disney character quiz" in the Sorceror's Workshop. Mark was Lumiere from Beauty and the Beast and I was Timon (which is so true!)
We hopped to DL and Mark got in line for the Dole Whips while I got Space FPs. Mmmmmmm, dole whips are heavenly.

While enjoying our frozen pinapple yumminess we headed over to Pirate's Lair.
The best part was the caves and the special effects. I got totally freaked out by the popping up head.

Another one of my favorite effects is when the treasure disappears when you try and grab it. Disney really improved TSI. Here's a pic of Splash Mountain's drop from the island.
Coming off of the island, we saw that HM had absolutely no line so we hopped on for another creepy ride!
Needing a bit of a rest, we rode the Railroad from NOS to Tomorrowland. We got off to see the Dream Home in Innoventions, which to both of our surprise had a line! Neither of us had ever been into Innoventions because everybody knows that it's a waste of time right?

The beginning with the musical instruments was ok, but nobody was really as enthusiastic as the CM wanted us to be. Then the Dream home had some really cool inventions, but most of it was digital picture frames. There was one room where a CM told the story of Peter Pan and the room interacted with the story. I even got to pull the cannon and shoot a hole in the wall! (well, not really, but virtually) This was the time where my camera battery died and I could take pictures no more.
After searching upstairs for the exit (for quite some time), we left. We said "Hmmm, now what should we do?"....
Honey I Shrunk the Audience! Another show that nobody sees. I had not seen this movie in about 8 years and Mark had not seen it, so we gave it a try. I hadn't remembered the seats moving, but some of the effects were pretty intense like the snake and the rats. Overall it was better than I remembered, but still not a "must-do" and a "I hope they remove this and put in something better"
Next up was Star Tours, which is a "I hope they update this" ride. The line for this dies down in the afternoon, so I don't recommend riding in the mid-morning when the line is pretty lengthy. We only waited 10 minutes. I ran over and got Indy FPs and then we rode BTMRR again for another exciting wild ride through the WILDERNESS! We had plans for dinner at Tortilla Jos to meet up with everyone else so we took the monorail (which had a HUGE line because they were running 1 monorail) and arrived at DTD. We sat at the exact same table as we did last year which was nice. We all ordered burritos which were massive and none of us finished more than half of it.
After din din Whitney's mom wanted to ride Soarin so we went over to DCA and only waited about 30 minutes. After flying over San Francisco, LA, and
Disneyland in Christmas, the parents left and the four of us went over to DL where me and Mark tried to use our Space FPs from earlier, but the ride was down. Then we met the girls at the Tomorrowland Terrace and watched the fireworks from there, which were very good seats for not being in the hub.
Following the fireworks, we rode Matterhorn at night Fantasyland side. If you have the chance, definitely ride this one at night. It's 10 times better. Then we all rode BTMRR at night, which also is 10 times better with the mountain being dark. Then the girls left because they wanted to see a movie at the AMC, but ended up running around DTD instead.

Me and Mark rode Space with our FPs and surprisingly skipped a huge line.
Then we rode Buzz which had pretty much no line and for the longest time I could not find my laser! Oh well, I still managed level 4. Go for the Triangles! It was about 11 by now and we decided to head over to the abandoned corner also known as Critter Country. We gave Pooh some love because there were absolutely no people over there. Those CMs must get so bored. Then we rode Splash at night, which I had never done before (at DLR) and the view from the top was amazing. The only drawback... being wet at 11 at night. We walked over to Indy to use our FPs, but it was broken down. We walked Tarzan's Treehouse to waste some time to see if Indy would re-open. Nope. At about 11:50 we gave up and for some reason we ended up riding Snow White, which was a spontaneous decision on Mark's part. What a pointless, scary ride. Good thing it didn't give us nightmares.
That concluded Day 2 and I recharged my battery for the next day. Day 3 coming up

sad1: going home)
