I made all of my ADRs at the 180 mark and thought I was done.

THEN..I ordered TGM's guide and some of his thoughts on when to arrive/what to see/ when to eat/etc. and realized had a a couple of glaring "goofs"...which I should have realized when I booked them.

I just tried to call, at more than 120 days out and NADA!:scared1:

If the restaurants are that booked [Donald's Safari & Crystal Palace], how bad are the parks going to be? My first thought is that the crowds mean we should follow the touring plan even closer.

Ideas? My biggest concern is the Crystal Palace on the 7th of Dec. We are set for 6:45p, to run into MVMCP. I wanted to change it to an earlier ressie, but they are full. Would you stay with what I have, or look for something else? We have LTT on the 8th and won't go to Tony's, so I think we'd have to go out of the park.

If you can't move CP to an earlier time, keep it. CS places are likely to be pretty busy that night so I don't think your dining experience will improve by dropping TS altogether.

The Plaza is another TS inside of MK if you want to replace LTT.

Keep in mind no matter how busy you'll still be at WDW. With that thought in front of you I think "all good" will be easy to remember.

Am having a major anxiety attack after reading your post!:scared1: We just decided a couple of days ago to do an October trip and I have NO ADR's yet! We may be screwed big-time. I remember when we stayed concierge at Poly we changed several ADR's on the day of the reservation with no problem. Arrrgggghhhh... :headache:

What ages are with you? That time cuts into party time and if kids are young, will they be able to stay out that late AND enjoy it. We would rather eat at plaza if you could get an early time or eat out of the park and get there early. In the past, they have let people in as early as 4 pm. We had a 5pm CP ADR one time and then had adventure land to ourselves after because the regular park people were leaving.

Full dining does not mean busy parks. There are limited seats and times for dining. There are FAR fewer seats available at TS places then there are people in the parks. I wouldnt let that freak you out too much.. Now there are days of the weeks that are worse for certain parks then others, no doubt about that, but dont let ADR's being booked be the deciding factor of park crowds..

One thing I have noticed about the resturants that they are all being booked up on the 180 day mark. I wish they would change the way they do this. I think in my opinion people double book and makes getting ress so much harder. As far as the parks go & the crowds. It's Disney I really don't think it matters when you go there are always crowds.

Karlzmom, did you ask for a 4:00 reservation? You can enter the park at 4 for MVMCP. Last year, we had the same problem but I didn't realize we could enter that early. The night of the MVMCP, I walked up tp the CP window about 9:30 PM and they seated us.
We ate at LTT in May and the food was awful-I ate a couple of bites and couldn't eat anymore. Maybe you could schedule your CP for that day.

What we usually do on a party night is get CP super early, between 4-5. If that is not available I would go to Kona, GF Cafe, or just do counter service.

Ages are 37 (me), 62 (DH) and just shy of 3 (DS).

My game plan for the 7th is breakfast at Kona, then a lazy day [maybe mini golf after breakfast], a solid rest and to the park around 4/4:30. Wanted to enjoy the "lag" as the day guest leave and then before all the MVMCP guests arrive. DS is usually fine until about 9ish now.

Don't give up :) Post on TGM & Disboards ADR trade/cancel/wanted boards for something that might work better & keep calling Disney Dining for other dates/times. I had all my ADR's booked for our Sept trip, but some of the times weren't the best. I kept calling & got great times for all our meals :cool1: I also picked up a great dinner ADR for Le Cellier & a few others that were booked solid off the boards. If you still don't get what you need, keep calling even just prior to the meal time, to see what is available. Good luck :thumbsup2

As others have suggested, if you are going to MVMCP you should dine earlier so that you can be ready for the 7:00 PM start. You don't want to "waste" time eating dinner at 6:45. You will miss a good part of MVMCP that you paid for. I suggest getting an ADR at one of the monorail hotels. An added plus is that you will get to see their Christmas decorations. :)

Thanks for the advice, I'll give it a shot and see what I can come up with.

Since I see that you are already staying at Poly you might want to dine at the Wave at the Contemporary. My DW and I had dinner there in June and really enjoyed it. Kevin of the DIS Podcast team has also reviewed this restaurant. He liked it, too! :thumbsup2 Good luck!
