What are the differences between a dedicated 2BR and a lock off other than the beds?

The lock offs have a connecting inside door btween them - they can be used as a separate 1 bedroom and studio in addition to a 2 bedroom. The dedicated units generally have more closet space i the second bedroom. The second bedroom in the lock offs has the kitchenette since it can also be used as a studio.

Best wishes -

At some resorts, the dedicated 2Bs have two queen beds in the second bedroom, while lockoffs have the Queen + Sofabed configuration. You can get a 2Q room at SSR and there are about 25 at BCV. All of the 2Bs at OKW have two queens. BWV has none. Not sure about VWL.

With a lockoff, you should have a balcony off of the second bedroom, while in a dedicated there is usually not a balcony.

Also, a lockoff should have two thermostats--one in the second bedroom and another for the rest of the unit.

Thanks. Extra closet space is a plus, but so is an extra balcony. To many decisions.

Also, with the lock-off, since it is a studio... It has it's own door to the the outside hallway. Handy if you have adults traveling with you that may want to come and go as they want. Not handy if you have small children.

Yes. All the studios (second bedroom) of OKW have 2 queen beds, but many of the others only have a bed and a pull out sofa. Some resorts have a few 2 bedrooms with a dedicated unit. Most of the 2 bedrooms at all resorts except OKW are lock-offs, but OKW has about an equal number of lock offs and dedicateds. At OKW, the balcony is huge, so the extra balcony is a non-issue, but at the others, it might be nice to have two.
