2BR Villa at BW - Best location?

I booked 2 nights at BWV in September. They told me it will be a Preferred View overlooking Pool/Garden area. I really wanted something that had a view of the Illuminations. Is there such a room? Is it a Standard View or Preferred View. Any suggestions on location requests?

There are no PV - Pool/Garden 2 bedrooms that will give you a view of IllumiNations from your balcony. The good news is that you will be only a few steps away from the Boardwalk and you can get a good view there - as good a view as you can get without standing around the World Showcase Lagoon.

Some (not all) standard view rooms and all of the PV-Boardwalk view rooms have a view of the higher level fireworks from IllumiNations from the balcony. both of these room types are separate booking categories for DVC members staying on points - you can't get them with a request.

The Boardwalk view rooms are reserved for members who pay for there stay with points. It is possible for a cash (CRO booked) guest to be assigned to a standard view room, but it is not common. DVC members almost always book those rooms early in the booking window - they cost less points than the preferred views.

Sounds like you are a DVC member. If you want either a standard view or a PV - BW view, call MS back and see if any of those room types are available for your dates. If so, you can change your reservation.

Thanks for the info. Yes, I am staying via DVC points. The PV Pool View was the only 2 BR villa available. I had them put me on the wait list for either a Standard View (which would give me 12 points back), or a PV Boardwalk.
