Has anyone booked a 2BR then just shut the door to the studio once your 'extra' guests left to now stay in the 1 BR. Or did you need to book a 2BR then check out and back into a 1BR?

Thanks for any insight.

At New years we were booked in a two bedroom for all but one night (NYE of course) We had a one bedroom for that night- The reservations were separate: for the first two nights 2 bedroom, 1 bedroom for one night and 2 bedroom again for 2 nights. When we checked in the CM spent a lot of time arranging it so we could just keep the same one bedroom for the whole time and just close off the studio for the one night. Even though I asked ahead of time, they had us booked into 3 different units. So you will have to have 2 separate ressies but when you make it and when you check in make sure to ask that they keep you in the same one BR and they will most likely accomodate you. You will have to check in again for new keys as the original keys will be keyed for the whole unit and they will change it to just the one BR.

We have done this many times without a problem. Make sure to emphasize what you want when the reservation is made and again at check in.

You will have to check in again when the status changes from 2BR to 1BR, but you won't have to physically move out of the villa. They will issue new room ID's at that time. Just make sure the 2 reservations are linked together by MS and again at check-in.

It's a nice way to enjoy the stay!

Enjoy!

We did it two years ago without a problem...had 1 brm for 1 night a two bedroom for 4 nights and a 1 bdrm for the last 2...Stayed n the same room and didn't even have to change our keys...At check in they confirmed what we were doing and it work out just great....
