We are planning a trip back to BWV in Dec. We need a 2BR for the first two days and a 1BR for the next five days. Does anyone know if we will have to move or will they just lockoff the studio?

I do not know this for sure but it seems only logical that they would do this. Be sure to ask for a lock-off 2 bdrm so that you are all set. Good luck!

I will tell you what I was told at VWL when I just made a similiar reservation. The two reservations are linked so that when the assigner sees the first reservation, he/she will also see the second one. Most likely 99% you won't have to move rooms all you'll have to do is go to the front desk and obtain new keys.

That's good to hear. Next week we start a 12 day stay at OKW. The first night is in a studio, then we have a 2 bedroom for the rest of the stay. I hope all we have to do is unlock a door.

If you haven't already, it would be a good idea to call MS and make sure this request is noted on your reservation. Then make sure to mention it again when you first check in. Good Luck!

We have often done this same thing. Make sure to have MS note it on your reservation and have them link the 2 reservations together and note it on your confirmation.

At check-in, reconfirm that you won't need to move and you should be all set. You will usually have to go to the desk and re-check in for the 2nd reservation. They will give you a new key for the new reservation- even though the room will be the same.

Enjoy!

hi: we had a similar situation this past november at bwv. we started out in a 2br p.v. and had to move to a 1br s.v. for some reason, they were unable to either leave us in a p.v. or a s.v. for the entire time. i know they were kind of busy the first week of november and some areas were still down for refurbishing.

Make sure they book you for a lockoff 1 bedroom. At BWV, all 2 bedrooms are lockoffs, but some 1 bedrooms are dedicated and some lockoff. When I called last year for my 1 bedroom, I requested dedicated and they told me they book dedicated first and when they are gone, they book the lockoffs. I was lucky to get dedicated 1 bedrooms in both my BWV stays, that way there was no connecting door in the living room, more quiet.

I want to thank the folks who provided feedback on our 2br/1br issue. I called MS late yesterday and used the terminology (lockoff two bedroom, link two reservations, & note it on reservation) suggested and was successful in reserving a 2br to 1br for the first week of Dec. MS assured me that I would not have to change rooms.

Over the past two years I have found this forum to be invaluable towards planning DVC trips to insure a magical vacation and it has not failed yet.

Thanks again
