C. Ann, have you considered working for a temp agency until something permanent comes up? Temp jobs are fun because you get to meet new people, and you can get an idea of what you want and what you don't want. If you have general office skills, a temp agency will take you on.

You'll make more money as a waitress than you would with an office job or assembly-line job. I used to work in an office but had a rather "bad experience" with the last job, so decided to try something totally different...waitressing! My mother gave me two weeks before I'd quit, I've been there over 6 years and still love it!!
