29 days to go, and I still haven't finished making ADRs!!

It's funny how I always used to be the anal control-freak who planned everything, and now I've got less than a month til we leave and I still haven't finished making ADRs!

It's been a long summer.................................

I had our ADRs done in spring. A few days ago we added a person to our room, thus needing ADRs for 5 instead of 4. It worked but with alot of shuffling. We are going 8/26-9/2 and almost everything was booked up. We had to get 2 tables for some TSs and switch our planned dinners to breakfasts, breakfasts to lunch, etc. to make it work. It finally did, with a couple of exceptions (Le Cellier, Spoodles) but it took me asking for the alternatives, they definitely weren't offered.

Most TSs didn't have dinners open until after 8:30 p.m. if at all. Hence, we have more breakfasts and lunches now (with our group of 4 we had almost all dinners). All I can say is good luck and keep calling if you don't get what you want now. Also, check out the cancelling ADR thread.

What I find that is helpful for myself is to write each date's time schedule for the park hours. Like which park has early morning hours, evening extra hours, and the park hours. Then I make a daily list of the dates we are there with this info listed in the margins. That way I know which parks we will probably be at and when and which will be most likely more crowded (the parks we want to avoid). That way I can schedule our dinners around our park visits. It really does help. Also, if you don't get a restaurant you really want, do recall. Many, many times I have ended up getting into the restaurant because of other cancellations. I also make lists with our second picks in case our first is not available. . .that way I am not trying to come up with another choice on the phone quickly and scheduling something we don't really want.
