I've learned that people that talk demeaningly like that have to show they "know" something. Sometimes these jerks don't know much more than the person they're demeaning. Sorry, C.Ann! I wonder if he's related to the jerk that e-mailed me back from a textbook publisher. I sent e-mails to everyone in that company regarding him. He was a senior editor or something. Give me a break...learn to correspond with people courteously. I was sure to tell them how much more positive a competing publisher was about another subject.
