I just wanted to pass some scoop - I put in a bid for a 2 star on Priceline (it actually devides the area into 8 sections, or which I chose 3) and it was accepted at $28 a night for 5 nights at the Quality Inn International. I'm sure if you pick the one star, you could probably get a $22 a night rate or so. Anyhow - I thought that info might help anyone putting in a hotel request on a tight bugdet.
Also - if you are staying in St. Augustine for any reason - I put in a bid of 53$ for a 4.5 star - and it was approved. $47 was shot down - and I bumped by $6....Anyhow - just leaving you all somewhere to start from..
All reservations were for the end of July..
