Disney isn't for everyone.

Neither is a trip to a tropical island . The last time we went to Hawaii I realized I was spending big bucks to go sit on a beach which I could do for FREE at home (we live in CA so less than an hour drive gets us the beach, the mountains, or Disneyland ).

Exactly. I think the same when I hear about beach trips. Sand. Water. Okay, now what? I'm over it all in less than an hour. Why is someone paying "big bucks" to get sand in their suit? (Yeah, I realize there's more to most beach destinations than that, but same goes for WDW & animated people.) Everyone enjoys different things. Glad everything went okay for you while you were there though. Have fun on your tropical vacations in the future!

It's all good. Find what works for you and enjoy life, because it's way too short and very fragile.

We thought we were over Disney back in 1999 after many trips in that decade. Then just DW and I returned for a quick getaway in 03/2010 and realized we were back home again. We bought into BLT and have been having a great time this past year with planning, trips, etc. We did discuss possible 'Disney Burn-Out' and are making sure our vacations include new and different experiences so it's always fresh and exciting. Bringing friends and family along also helps us experience Disney through others eyes. With being able to include HHI and VB as destination options, I'm confident we won't reach burn out or even brown out status for a long long time.
