27 days until my trip!

I haven't gotten my packet yet either from Disney, but I'm sure it will be here this week. No coupon? Bummer! What all is in there? I have a tupperware box that I've been throwing Disney stuff in when I see it. It has Disney princess dresses in it and such. I've picked up disney bubbles glow lights and things like that. I still haven't gotten our costumes for the MNSSHP :( Tring to get the card payed off asap so I can do so! I did see a couple homemade ones I'm leaning toward. I'm setting out bathing suits, ponchos, buckets and shovels, bug spray Disney toys. Anyone have a packing list? I know I will forget something!

25 days here too.

We have our ME docs last week and got our travel vouchers Saturday.

I've been stock piling our goodies for the trip. Ponchos, kid distracters for the plane, all the random things we'll need. Tomorrow I'll be finalizing our GG order, photopass has been ordered... I need to streamline our spreadsheet to get everything copied onto 1 small page. Watching the weather, finalizing our scavenger hunt...

I think that's about it.

What kind of scavenger hunt? Sounds like fun!

You could print out all your dining reservations, make a packing list.... I made a packing list for all toiletry items, clothes, stuff for the backpack.....

make a checklist of all the things you need to do in your house before you leave : hold mail, if you have pets, timers for your lights in the house, etc

if you're really neurotic, you could switch your ADR's around like 50 times before you go ! :rotfl2::rotfl2:
Did you see my other post? LOL! I think I have switched my ADRs at least 50 times! :headache:
In a couple of weeks you could start laying out clothes you're bringing to pack.... we put all our vacation pile in the guest room. Then a few nights before we check it all and put it in the suitcase.

I know how you feel though... you feel like you should be doing all this stuff but it's kind of "sit and wait" time !! :confused3 (make lists, you'll think of a million things in between now and when you leave that you wouldn't have thought of if you pack right before you go) I'm neurotic that way. :lmao:

I am the same way! LOL!

What are these packets that people are referring to? Am I supposed to get something?
We made room-only reservations as we had already purchased our tickets last year before the rates went up......does that make a difference?

For Magic Your Way packages, you would receive a booklet that outlines your itinerary, hotel information, includes coupons for Planet Hollywood and Mini Golf and the hotel Arcade, things like that. You would also receive luggage tags.

For a Room Only Reservation, you will not receive anything of the sort. In fact, aside from the e-mail confirmation you received back when you made your booking, you will receive no other information regarding your reservation. If you like you can print that original e-mail and bring it with you, but really you don't need it - they can look you up in the computer using your ID.

Both reservation types receive seperate envelopes with their Magic Express tags and information, if using this service.

How are you liking ridemax? I looked at it and was thinking about giving it a try.
I'm playing with ridemax, making a planning scrapbook, shopping Dollar Tree for little things we'll need or that will save us money.

We'll be there the same time! I'm so excited, I just want to go NOW!
Have a great trip!
We're going the same day you are it looks like, but to Riverside vs FQ.
I'm in the same boat - itching to do something to prepare, but the ADRs are in order, I pre-built daily emails of "xx days to go!" with trivia tidbits and set outlook to delay send so they go out each morning...

Bought all of the glow necklaces, toys, snacks, etc that will keep the kids happy, reviewed the reservations and maps, updated the GPS for the drive..

Arrrggh. Nothing left to do but wait...
(On a side note, I haven't seen my package from Disney yet.. although my parents who are coming as well and booked a week later than us have received theirs... hrmmm)

:cool1:
Raisin' the roof of course!
I am nesting too to say. I've been moved for over a year and have done more unpacking this week than ever!
I always start "nesting" before vacations, its weird. I also get snacks from the grcoery store, and then eat them all, then buy them again closer to the trip. .... I love this!:rotfl:you may just want to take sydneysmom's advice!:rotfl:
:banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:
The Banana Dance!
::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:

Have a Disney themed dinner for every weekend until your trip.. as cook an accompanied dish for the movie.. (spaghettie and meatballs w/ Lady and the Tramp, etc).

It will go fast!!!

What kind of scavenger hunt? Sounds like fun!

This trip marks the first time my BFF from college gets to meet my family (she's never even met DH) so being that we are both photographers in our other lives, tried to come up with fun ways of securing more than the "stand other there and smile" pictures.

We've created a list for each park and the rules are simple. 1) a person (or appendage) from each respective team MUST be in the proof photo. 2) Each list much include 1 food item.

I put on stuff like, take a photo of the other side of water; prove you were on a segway (and yes they are taking that tour); is the dinosaur at AK a boy or a girl; find Leonard Nimoy's handprints, etc. It's going to be great!

ETA: to the winner, goes a photo of the losing team looking all sad in the winner's choice frame. :)

I like Ridemax but I am using it with touring plans... I like that Ridemax gives you a more realistic idea of how long it will take to do certain things. For example, if you want to be in a park from open until noon and then take a break, it will help you figure out how much you can expect to see or do in those morning hours. But I don't like the format, so I have been plugging the Ridemax plan into Touring Plans to get a prettier plan with a map. Plus sometimes Ridemax doesn't make sense. Like I said we'd be in MK from 3 until 9 and we only want to do Fantasy land and toon town. It told us to get a Fast pass for peter pan and then do NOTHING until 6:45. I don't really understand that so I am tweaking it here and there as needed when I plug it into the touring plans site.

I was so prepared I had my packing list, things to do before I leave, all of the phone numbers and address to where I'm going, all my reservation numbers, park hours, anything you could imagine then the unthinkable happened my computer crashed last night. I lost everything. I would rather be prepared and waiting than have to get all of this info back together again. Computers are a wonderful thing until they crash then you're in a tailspin and don't know what to do. I'm so frustrated right now.

If you have GPS did you put all of your address in it yet? That's an actviity you could do.
You could check out Disney florist and see if you maybe want to order something. If you don't see what you want you can call and see if they can get what you want. A couple of years ago I ordered light up mickey ears for the MNSSHP, had our name put on them and they weren't listed on the site as a regular item. I'm going to try to get a mickey santa hat this year for the MVMCP as a surprise for my DH.

I'm at 25 days so I'm in the same boat! I've put together a tentative packing list, but I won't print it til about a week before as I'm still adding to it here and there. I'm also getting together my mousekeeping tip money by getting small amounts of cash back when I go to the grocery store. And then yesterday my glasses broke :sad2: so there's a surprise $300 for new glasses I didn't want to spend!

We have 10 days until we leave for vacation and I am going nuts.... I was going to make t shirts but I have now decided not to I would rather have the money to spend down in Disney... I have been trying to put lists together and I think I get on the boards every 15 minutes, lol. I think that I am just going to do what everyone else said and print out all my ADR and print out a calendar and double check my itinerary. Another good tip I got a was to make cookies and stuff to take down since we are driving. The one thing that I could do is clean and I have no desire to do that, but its looking like my only option. lol

I emailed our important people in our lives the important contact information for the resorts. We like to be cell free while we are on vacation, so incase of an emergency they have the info and flight info also....

Other then that I am patiently waiting to pack for REAL!! :rotfl2:
I've got stuff here and there in the suitcase!

24 days to go!!!
