25th Anniversary trip come find out the five W's

:offtopic: I finished the book "3500 An Autistic Boy's Ten Year Romance with Snow White". It is a very touching story about how Disney (Snow White) has touched this boy. If anyone is looking for a good read (and has a box of tissues around) I highly recommend this book. I am currently reading "Unofficial Guide Walt Disney World 2014". It as always is a great read.

First I would like to thank Lisa for letting me use some of her pictures. I also took the rest from the Disney website.

Did someone say change. I hate change. Most the time that is. So what has changed?

The first W (who) has stayed the same. Trip is just Chris and me. :flower3:

Second W (what) has changed some. Trip is now just 6 nights 7 days. :sad2:

Third W (when), kind of changed. Dates are 9/21-9/27.

Fourth W (where), this was the big change.

Should we stay here?

Thats POR. Nope, this was our first resort back in 2008. It was a great resort, but done that lets find somewhere new.

How about,

No, Did this in 2011 with Elizabeth for her 18th birthday and HS grad. Again great resort for two but not for us.

Chris liked the cabins

back when I was planning trip in 2011. I tossed this one early due to cost for two people didn't sit to well. Maybe next time with Isaac. (My grandson he turns 1 this month, more of that later I'm sure!)

Maybe we should stay with CBR

No I budget to much to stay here. :idea:I know lets see how much a deluxe would cost.

First WL

Oh this looks nice. I might get Chris to agree to this one.

Oh wait what about BC

or Yc

oh this would be nice to AK

So last Sunday morning I brought up the subject. I really was ready to hear Chris say we should save the money. But instead he looked at all the resorts. And very easy made his choice.

His reason, he liked the idea of walking to Epcot. (Food and Wine should be going on during our stay.)
My reason,

I mean how cute is that.

And last W (why), reason has not changed.

Will be booking on Monday. I book with a TA only cause she is a very good TA and it helps her out.
Sorry pictures aren't the best I will try harder to find better ones.
I am so excited to learn more about BC.

What a great attitude you have with all the changes. A shorter stay is better than no trip at all right??

Beach Club is such a fabulous resort. Em and I stayed there for part of our very first girl trip and have fond memories. And you can't beat the location for F&W.

I'm glad things are working out! I hope you enjoy your time since it sounds like it is well deserved! :goodvibes

I don't make it over to the pre-trip report boards as much as the resorts or trip report forums, but I love to help plan and I will do my best to follow along!

Thanks for the family pictures and background. And thank you to your sons for their service , and all of your family for the sacrifices you make.

As you can probably figure out, I am in favor of your choice of the Beach Club as a resort! It is a beautiful place, the CMs are great, the location is awesome and the pool is FUN!

It will be interesting to see what makes the cut for meals with your shorter trip.

Hope all goes well with the new job. When do/did you start?

Quick update. I'm not taking that job due to physical problems. I did put in my two week notice last night. Kind of glad I haven't booked my vacation yet. In two weeks I will be without a job. (Hopefully God has other plans!) I do have faith that this trip will happen. This is just a small set back. Who knows maybe God thinks my timing is wrong and that I need to go in Oct. His timing is always better then mine!

Ok new plan. First I decided to wait 8 more days before booking. That will put me a year out.
choices:
A) Go a week later so we can go to F&W. We would stay at BC.
B) Leave trip were it is and stay at BC. I'm thinking this would be a week before F&W.
C) Leave trip were it is. Stay at CBR with tickets to MNSSHP. This idea came to me watching the live broadcast last night.

And people, outside of my Disney family, wonder why I have to start planning so far out.

Quick update. Chris is liking the idea of doing MNSSHP. Looks like plan C might win.
:offtopic: Joe , son that is deployed, is coming home by end of year :banana:Best news to end a crappy week.

:banana::banana::banana::banana:

If all goes right this is what I hope to be driving under a year from today. Countdown in 365 days. Still holding off on booking till after I see DR on Tuesday. If he says anything other then a second hip replacement then everything is a go. If I do need a new hip then things will be on hold till 2015  Really I'm ok with 2015 today. It will be a rough year and no way will we have the money if I'm out of work.

Side note. I did a search for the picture and found a cute video on youtube of a ME dropping a group off at AoA. I couldn't help but cry.

Think Disney plans their mail. I did receive this today

Dr took me off hip. Surgery is schedule for Jan 22. Trip is still a go at this point. Might get moved due to Chris' s vacation time. So now I have four months to learn how to live on crutches. Good news is I should have no problem walking around parks when we do go.

Hey !!! Just joining in. I saw your TR was an anniversary trip and it pulled me in !!! My DH and I are doing the same thing in early December 2014. Going with NO KIDS. We are staying at Ft. Wilderness in an RV (which we haven't even bought yet. hows that for faith that my trip WILL HAPPEN..:rotfl2:).

You have a beautiful family. I admire your sons for their commitment to our country and tell them there are plenty of civilians that are praying for their safety and thanking God for their courage !!! :worship:

I see you've had to change your trip several times. Keep up that HOPE and FAITH. This trip will happen !!! It may have to be moved or rearranged several times but that will make it that much sweeter when it gets here.

I look forward to more updates as your son comes in and the surgery gets closer. Oh yeah and of course updates on your plans for your anniversary trip.

:welcome: Bayoumama!! Thanks for joining. Are you doing a PTR? Would love to hear what you have planned. And I hope to read a TR when you get back. How many years have you been married? How many kids? See questions keep coming. :goodvibes

Decisions, decisions. :confused3
First Chris liked the idea of doing MNSSHP. He even mentioned dressing up. I really thought I would have to do some fast talking to get him to agree.

I am going to have to move my trip. Do I still go for MNSSHP or for Christmas decoration. We love our water rides and I hate getting wet when its cold. I'm thinking of sometime in Oct. I need to stop and really look at dates. I might move us back to two weeks. :woohoo: Everything is back up in the air.

Think I will do more research here on the Dis. I am loving all the resort FAQ threads. I'm learning a lot. (These are also making my bucket list grow.)

I haven't done a PTR or a TR ever before. I've read plenty and haven't really thought about doing one. I really enjoy hearing everyone's plans and seeing pictures but I'm not sure I have time. You know I say that but I'm surely on these boards pretty often. I'll think about it.
I've been married 20 years this year. I wanted to go this year but we are tight on money and are saving up for an RV to buy next year. We plan to go to Destin with the kids in the RV next summer and we will go just us 2 to Disney in December next year. My DS is almost 18 and my DD is 13. We went to Disney all 4 of us in 2011 and my son enjoyed it but doesn't want to go again. He is a hunter and fisherman and loves the outdoor activities instead. My DD came on a girls trip in 2008 and again with the family in 2011 and she loves Disney. She is upset about not coming with us in December.

My DH and I have never been on a week vacation without the kids. We didn't go on a honeymoon and have only been on weekend trips without the kids but we are REALLY looking forward to slowing down and chilling out at the parks. We want to go to the Candlelight Processional and watching wishes from the Poly's beach and walking slow through the parks and really soaking it all in. We usually go all comando with plans and seeing as much as we can see. This time will be different.
NO COMPLAINING and WHINEING!!!! (unless it's from me)...:rotfl:

You know regardless of when you go, September or October or even around Christmas there is so much to do. In September and October I really think you are good for the water rides. Unless you get a cold snap which I'm sure happens but check here on the boards. I know there has to be a past weather tracker somewhere that can tell you historical data on what the weather is usually like this time of year. I know FL is like south Louisiana where I'm from. One year it snowed Christmas day and another year it's like 80.....you just never know.

Sounds like you have a fun year ahead of you. We skipped our honeymoon also. With kids our of the house it is time to start on making up for that. I would love to do the Candlelight Processional ... one day. Feel free to share updates on your year here.

You are so right. Disney is the place to go anytime of the year.

First sorry I have been ignoring my report. I haven't been in a great mood and didn't think I needed to share all that.
So a quick update on our trip. A complete change in how I wanted this trip to be. Oh well there is always the next trip. We are looking at going 9/15 - 9/19. Shorter trip. I swear next trip will be for two weeks. We are also staying at POP. A big difference from staying at BC or even CB, but its still Disney. Not to mention I loved this resort back in 11 when DD and me went. Will be nice to share it with Chris. We will be doing the QSDP. I am going to stick with this so I don't have all the time it takes to sit down and eat.

Joining in! Sounds like you've made changes in the planning, but your current plans sound great. A short trip at Disney is better than no trip to Disney, right? Plus you have a whole year of planning fun ahead.:goodvibes

YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am joining in your trip plans. A years out is hard but I know you can do it. We started planing for our upcoming trip when we were on the plane coming home form the last one together...3 and half years ago so go ahead and plan and enjoy.

Hope the hip is not causing to much trouble. Hope the time off without the yucky job is healing.

Your dining list looks so so so yummy and I have a feeling it will be hard for you to pick. It always is for us. I will give my reviews of some f yours after our trip. I can currently say that we enjoyed Coral Reef but it was not our favorite.
