25th anniversary gift ideas

I'm looking for 25th anniversary gift idea for some good friends. They are a professional couple (teacher and doctor) have a lovely home with teen/college age kids. I don't want to give cash or a gift card, though as last resort I'll prob give a gift cert to a nice restaurant. Anyone have any unique ideas? Thanks.

Are they Disney fans? google "Mickey and Minnie Silver Salt and Pepper Shakers" that should bring up some really cute silver disney items. like the salt and pepper shakers and a cute silver bowl...........Silver is the "color" for the 25th anniversary. Hope this helps!

Why do you want to give them a gift?

I am approaching my 25th in a few years and my husband and I don't even buy each other a gift (we usually do a weekend trip). Just a card and spending some time together works for us.

That said, I think a nice silver photo frame would be lovely.

For me a card and a Happy Anniversary would be just fine.

Tinkermommy - very good question. Their family is throwing a huge surprise party for them and I just feel like we should bring a gift. I know, terrible answer. Like you, I prefer quality time. DH and I celebrated our 25th quietly together - we're not big on material gifts. DH did give me a beautiful ring, but 25 years ago we decided together that instead of an engagement ring, buying our first house was more important to us - a decision we never regretted. I guess that's why coming up with an idea is tough. I appreciate the suggestion of a silver frame - I'm sure there will be many "kodak moments" during the party.
