25th anniversary Free picture Stations

They have the free photo station out at HHI now. Not sure if they are at the other DVC resorts. The kids had fun playing with it as its unlimited and they could do different effects and filters. I wish it wasn't in a spot that showed the whole room behind you making it harder to get an empty shot. I was thinking it would be more like a photo booth or have a backdrop or something. They have 3 photo options: single pic 4"x6" (total but with decorative border pic is smaller),3 smaller pics on 4x6 or 3 pics on a 2x3" photo strip. They aren't the best quality pics but they are a fun FREE souvineer for the kids. I thought I'd mention they were now available as I didn't see anyone mention them yet.

I looked for it while at SSR but didn't see it. We only had half our family there so it wasn't something I was dying to do so I didn't bother asking. Glad your kids had fun with it. Maybe when we go back in sept/oct

They just got it a couple days ago as it was not there when we checked in. We just happened to notice it when we took the kids up for 3:00 free cookies.

thanks. totally skipped over that part of the original message. We did go into the community hall and didn't see one but we weren't looking for it there, either so It could have been in there, just didn't notice.

So if it's not a back drop, what is it? Sounds like a camera you can play with? Can you post a picture because I"m not understanding.

Sorry I did not take a picture of the machine before we left. It has a touch screen (which is not very responsive) to pick your choices then has a small camera mounted above that, which is stationary. Camera was above eye level for me if I was close enough to touch the screen so it was difficult to get small kids in the shot. We dragged over an ottoman from across the room for them to stand on to be tall enough to be seen. The camera just points into the open room so the couches, TV, other people, etc are all in the background of your shots. The lighting is not great in the room therefore the pics aren't that great either. There is no flash on the machine so at HHI it was just window light all from one side. The pics also blur easily with wiggly children. It is not near as nice as I was envisioning from the description. I hope that makes more sense.

So if we are staying at the Poly on points and it doesn't have a community hall can we go to BLT or BWV And use their community halls? Those 25th anniversary photo machines look fun.

Anyone can use it. And they can do as many pics as they want. You technically don't even need to be a member as it's just there in the Den for anyone to walk up and use.
