Can't wait to hear more!! Thanks for posting the pictures of Beach Club.....it is beautiful!! Must have been difficult to leave your sons home....they look like really nice young men!! Happy 25th Anniversary!! We just celebrated #20.


I have to thank all of you for giving me so many recent hours of such fun reading your trip itineraries. I've enjoyed the pictures and spent time having such good laughs at the witty descriptions of each and every trip.... hope to learn the tricks of the trade on how to post pictures etc. and make mine eventually as fun to read.
We haven't vacationed in a very long time as one of our daughters is comatosed and cannot travel. It will be 6 years in June that the little angel lapsed into a coma after a 106.8 fever that caused imminent seizures brought upon by encephalitis. Most probably from an insect bite. Our 2 other children have been such troopers to have sacrificed vacations due to our situation. June 28th though, we are GOING TO DISNEY!!!!!! Our little one will be in the capable hands of my parents.....could only leave her with my mom who is also a Registered Nurse as am I.....She requires full time around the clock nursing care. I am a wreck about boarding a plane(Jet Blue) and leaving her behind, but our 2 other kids, 17 y.o. son and 12 y.o. daughter really deserve this trip. 4 nights at the Beach club.....10 years ago we stayed at the port orleans, but we decided this trip on a place closer to Epcot. DH insisted on the dining plan....don't know how we'll ever pay off this credit card, but God will provide. It is time for us to make some happy memories. Thank you again for posting, as I am learning MANY great tips. Can't wait for the next installment!!

We eat at Lecellier every trip. That was very cute what they did with the dessert. We received a lot of cute things during the week. Stay tuned as I will be mentioning them.

Don't you just love Rose Regale?? One day we had not opened the bottle yet so we opened it during the day & I put some in my resort mug & went to the pool.

My best friend and I did a girls only trip in 2005 during Food and Wine and we had our very first taste of Rose Regale in Italy on the trip and were hooked!!! I love that you put it in your mug and went to the pool

My heart goes out to you for your little one !! But I truly believe she would want you to go and let her siblings enjoy Disney again !! God Bless you for the loving care you have given for the past 6 years !! When I hear stories like yours ,it makes me realise how truly blessed I am !!It humbles me to think of what you are dealing with and the trivial things I complain about ! Congrats to you on 20!!! It was difficult to leave them but once we were there & kept in touch by text I was ok but was very happy to see them when we got home!!

Oh my gosh Janny. Like Rosie said sometimes we do not realize how good we have it until we hear someone else's story. I am so sorry to hear about your little angel. I cannot even imagine what you have gone through but it sounds like you along with the rest of your family really deserve this trip.

First of all do not be afraid about Jet Blue. That is the only airline we fly with now. We absolutely LOVE flying with them & I was not a brave flier but I am not nervous at all now. I would highly recommend them to anyone & everyone.

Secondly, the Beach Club in my opinion is the best resort you could choose if you want to be close to Epcot. We loved it there & I hope you report back & tell us all about it. Did you get a look at the BC & Yacht club thread??? You can learn a lot about the resort on that thread. Your teenagers will love the pool & if your 17 yr old is into sports then the ESPN club is right across the resort at the Boardwalk.

Which dining plan are you going with? We did Deluxe this trip but was way too much food. I do not envision doing the deluxe again. I cannot eat an app, meal & dessert in one sitting!! And 3 times a day!!! I do like the basic dining plan though. I do like a sit down meal once a day.

Hi everyone. I hope to have another update either tonight or tomorrow. We celebrated our 25th anniv. on Tues. & we are having lots of construction at our house right now so it has been CRAZY!!

Ok I hope you are all having a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend. I wanted to get another update done & since my DH is out mowing the lawn I thought it was a great time. We left off with ending our arrival day. We had a great first night sleep at BC. Comfy beds!!
We had a wake up call for 7:15 as we wanted to be at the park for opening. And which park were we going to.......

Here is where we were spending our first full day

Our plan of attack was to walk with the hoardes of people to EE & ride it as we had an ADR for 9:25 with Donald so we headed to EE & we got right on & then our plan was to get a fastpass for Kilimanjaro Safari so we could ride it after breakfast. On our way over to get the fastpass we saw the Monkeys. They were performing for us

So we headed over to Tusker House. We checked in & had to wait for about 20 minutes before being called in. Now this was the day that I was supposed to have a dismeet with DisMomAmy who is also from NH!! While we were waiting to be called in I called Amy & they were at AK but just for about an hour as they had to go to MK also so we did not get a chance to meet up as planned But I totally understood as they had to get all their plans in before their trip ended & we had a breakfast to go to. Hopefully we will meet up here in NH sometime Amy. So I did not know that you get your picture with Donald before going into Tusker House. They bring you out to the back of Tusker House & if you want you can have your pic taken so we waited as we were behind one other family. Then we were brought in & seated. Our waiter was Neil & he was quite the character himself!! He got me good at the end of the meal which I will get to. Here is a pic of inside Tusker House & my plate of food...

The buffet is really good here & the juice is soooo good!!! I wanted to take some to go. Neil took a pic of DH & I with Mickey

Here are some more pics with the characters

So Neil was a hoot!! He pretended he had a full cup of water at the table beside us & pretended to spill it on the mom at the table & he made sure the dad was video taping it. THEN when we were done he brought back my KTTW card & said " This card came up that you are checking out today" & I'm like WHAT??? Then he said "Yeah they have your bags all packed & in the lobby" Then I knew he had gotten me!! My DH said I should have seen my expression. He wished he got a pic of it. Breakfast was great & then we headed over to Kilimanjaro & used our fastpass. We had to wait about 5-10 minutes. Here is our ride..

The lions were no where to be seen. They were hiding. After the safari we decided to do the two walking trails, Pangani & Maharajah. We did Pangani first..

Now this next guy was a riot!! He was putting on a show for us & would sit for a minute then come a little closer then come a little closer then decided to hide behind the bushes

Thanks for posting the great AK pictures.....now seeing them makes me want to rethink our plans NOT to go....since we're there just the 4 nights at BC, we didn't think we would have enough time for that park....although my daughter does want to go there. She was originally outnumbered by me, DH and DS....the picture of the ape just chilling out eating the grass blades clinched DD request......that was way too funny to potentially pass up!! Hope your anniversary was very special and hope your renovations are going well.......

We had never been to Tusker House since it was converted either but really enjoyed it. I agree the server can make or break it. Neil was great!! I hope you had a great long weekend LAST weekend and having a good one this weekend also. We were very busy today buying & planting flowers, mulching etc.

Hi Janny, I love going to AK to see the animals. I take the MOST pictures at AK because of all the animals. There are more pics coming. I will try & do an update tomorrow. I love watching the apes. They are so funny. I always wonder what they are thinking. Our anniversary was good & renovations should be done by this week (Wed.). Then we can get our garage & yard back in order!! Did some planting today by the side of the house they are done with so that was good. I hope you have a great weekend. If you can fit AK into your plans I would suggest it. The animals are very interesting to see & Festival of the Lion King show is great also.
