i might be canceling my trip my final payment is october 13 and i dont have any money for the trip does anyone know how long it takes to get the deposit back on my credit card am so depressed

First I am so sorry you have to cancel. I've had to do it once and it was heartbreaking. Just know that Disney will be waiting for you when you are more able to go.

So on to your question, I have actually had to cancel things a few times. I paid with my debit card. It took about 5 days on average to have the money back in my account. When I asked about time frame I was told for credit cards (not your debit card with the Visa logo) that Disney refunds the money within 5-7 days and then your credit company will refund it back to you based on their policies. She said typically the money is put back on your next account statement after the CC company recieves the money back. So that could be around 30 days. I have no experience with how true that is though.

I was told that it takes five to seven days whenever I had to cancel. Thats when it should appear on your account if you follow it online. But if your waiting to see it on the statement that comes in the mail you may not see it for 2 billing cycles. Thats b/c the money might get put back in just after the first statement is generated. The credit will still be there five to seven days after you cancel your trip. If you dont follow online you can call customer service for the credit card and get a recording of the last 10 transactions.

PS - Sorry you had to cancel. I hope that your just postponing until your in better finacial shape.

I cancelled a room only reservation on Saturday, and the credit showed up on my credit card statement on Tuesday. It was very quick.

Aww, what a bummer. So sorry. But the good news is that Disney is not going anywhere and it'll be waiting for you when you can go. Don't worry, you'll get there!

I was going to ask the same question since I have to cancel myself. I hate it when EVERYTHING comes due at once .
