25 pounds by February 2014 trip!

Ok Disers, I decided to re-post this since we did fairly well last year. My goal by Feb 2014 is 25 pounds. I joined planet fitness and my daughter and both are making a commitment to get there at least 4 days a week. so far we have made it:) granted it has only been two weeks but hey its a start:)
I have cut out soda, sugar, and went to a low carb diet. not the easiest but I am going to commit to a 2 week crash diet just to wean myself off the "bad" stuff! I have made it a week so far and I am down 5 pounds. mostly water weight I am sure.
So lets get this party started! GO!
 
I will join you. I need to lose weight and would love for it to be gone before vacation. I am looking at May 2014. I want to lose around 45 pounds. I have no excuses. None. And I need to start holding myself accountable for it too. I have an elliptical, weight machine, stationary bike, Leslie Sansone walking DVDs, and Focus T25. I have everything I need to lose weight and get back in shape. I just need someone to kick my butt and make me do it. ;)
 
Ok then! 2 is company! lets see if we can get any more disers to join our party! I know how difficult it is to commit! trust me halloween was hard hard! buying all that candy to pass out and them my kids bring home their candy! but My DH and I were strong and didnt have one stinking piece!
I started my challenge Oct 27, which was last sunday! I do best starting at the first day of the week! So not better time to start is now or tomorrow:rotfl2:
WE CAN DO IT! you have the tools now lets control our portions cut out the "bad stuff" and get going! We GOT this!
 
I made a weight loss ticker. I am hoping that it will help remind me. I will start on Monday.
 

We are doing a waterpark trip in April and our countdown starts on monday.

Any halloween candy left goes to the trash tomorrow night.

I'm here! Going the first week of March and I will go with 25 pounds! But, my ultimate goal is to just feel confident and not want to avoid pictures taken of me! This is my DD's first trip! I need to be in pictures!!:rotfl:
 
So joining in my family and I are going in Jan and i really need to lose at least 25. I have had multiple health things (surgeries and such) and 4 kids to help me gain it I just need a kick in the butt. Everyone around me is skinny and can literally eat what they want which doesn't help. In fact I just told my husband last night that I wished he was fat so I had a partner to lose weight with lol. Well if I am checking in with you guys I will feel more obligated to stick with it.
 
I'm in! I had my 2nd child in May and am ready to lose my last 20 lbs by our May 2014 trip. I work full time and have been very busy lately so I've let that be my excuse but no more! I am trying to run a mile 3x a week and keep my calories down by eating more fresh fruit. I'm seeing a nutritionist this week to help with my diet. Good luck everyone!
 
I'm in. I've gained a lot of weight in the last couple of years. I want to lose a total of about 35 lbs. I started 3 weeks ago and have lost 4.5 lbs. I have a long way to go and could use the motivation. 25 lbs by the end of February sounds like a good goal. Good luck to all of us!
 
I am a scale junkie. My scale says that I lost 1.2 pounds over the weekend. I will make Saturday my official weigh day to adjust my ticker.

I walked a mile with Leslie Sansone today. It was not much but it is better than the nothing I have been doing.

What has everyone else done to move towards their goal?
 
Welcome everyone! We can do this. I believe in friendly support. I know what you are all feeling, I feel it too. Losing weight was a lot easier if I were 25 again! Long gone are the days when I could just skip a couple of meals and lose 5 pound!
My dd and I will be back at planet fitness today and will be continuing my last week of low carb high protein diet.
My next weigh in will be Sunday November 10.

Does anyone here use MyFitnessPal app?

I have it. I don't use it very often though. I find calorie trackers frustrating to use because they are not made for people who cook from scratch. But, of them ones on the market, I like this one best. Though I would stay away from the forums. They are rather hard core diet and exercise people there. I find SparkPeople to be friendlier and more encouraging overall.
 
Does anyone here use MyFitnessPal app?

I have used it but I really like spark people better. But tracking calories has helped me gain less than half the weight in this pregnancy than my first. (And I'm in the healthy weight gain range!!)
 
Hubs and I use my fitness pal. If I don't keep track then I find I overeat without meaning to.
Hubs lost 40 lbs and is done. I've lost 30 but have about 20 left to go.
 
Just checking in on you all. I am on day 10 of my strict high protein low carb induction. Its getting tough! I keep reminding myself I can do it just 4 more days and I can balance this thing out better. My weight hasnt really changed much since day 5 so that too has me down:( I am heading back to the gym in the morning and will return in the evening with my daughter as soon as she is out of school. I want to add zumba back to my fitness program. I am also doing an ab challenge found on pinterest. its tough! crunches, leg raises, and planks!
I hope you are all sticking to your goals, be strong and carry on! Lets do this!
 
I use the Lose It app. Over the weekend I ran on the treadmill each day. I am not doing as good as I want with my food choices (I need to throw out the Halloween candy), but I'm seeing a nutritionist tomorrow to help me with a good diet. Keep up the good work everyone!
 
Today I started T25. I did week 1 day 1. I really hope this is the start of a new habit!

How is everyone else doing?
 
Hope everyone is doing well on their weight loss goals. I am at 161. Down 8 pounds in 14 days. Sounds like a lot but haven't lost anything more in a couple of days. I am going to have a cheat day to see if I can get things moving again. I would be very happy at 145 so that would be another 16 pounds. I will be cutting it close. Would have to be at least a pound a week.
