25 point add-on

We planning to add-on 25 points at AKV during our upcoming trip. Does anyone know if a 25 point add-on has any discounts or if the points are full price? Thanks!

Full price, but you won't pay closing costs on add-ons direct from Disney.

Thanks! With the new point allocations, our 10 night 2 bedroom SV spanning one weekend in the summer went up 22 points; so, we're doing the small add-on...

We spoke directly to DVC about a 30-50 pt add on when we were there in April. Only benefit was not closing costs....price per point was at max. Needless to say, we are going through ROFR now on a 50 pt. resale through TTS. Resale is the way to go IMO!

I think that depends on the price of a small resale contract. If a 25 point contract is $15.00 less then Disney's price you'll break pretty close to even with the addition of closing fees on the resale contract. Considering smaller contracts often go for more then larger contracts its not uncommon for the gap to be less than on larger contracts. Now certain resorts have larger gaps (ie. SSR, OKW), so it's not as cut and dry even when factoring in the other components.

Additionally there is a time element that plays into it, a resale must go through ROFR, which doesn't add a lot of time, but a month or so is not uncommon, buying from Disney is pretty much sign and done, no real waiting, can use points immediately, etc.

So you cannot sell the points back to Disney for the first year and get $5 off the point price? I was also wondering if they give you the current UY points when you do an add-on that small? Or does that come only with your initial purchase. Can you tell I am hatching a plan...
