Hi all, I've been bitten by the disney bug!!!

Think she has the bug too!! So last week we were discussing our upcoming 25th birthdays and well eeeeeeeeeerm we decided to go crazy and book the Cheyenne!!! So this is our PTR!!

Day One:::
Catch 6.50am plane to CDG and will fingers crossed be in DLP by ten am!! Check in and hit the parks for a look around and a bit of brekkie before doing a few rides. Will probably have dinner in the villiage

Days Two to Four:::
Will try for GMFLB for some of our mornings and will hopefully visit val d'Europe, do the Buffalo Bills show and fingers crossed make a visit to Cafe Mickey. We will of course have cocktails one night to celebrate the birthdays

I am counting down the days and cannot wait...... oh and this is a child free trip!!! Although I think i never grew up!

ah brill!! we had cocktails in the red garter saloon in CH the last time, which were fab! but the esso station beside the SF sell wine and vodka too, they only serve until 4 or 5pm i think though!
where are you staying?

aaaw your bringing your son!! only saw that there now! how old is he??

I think a dlp trip without kids is making me hyper!!!

Our friend Elly has had to drop out of the trip so after a few stressful days of ringing breakaway.ie and aerlingus i think we're back on track... its just the birthday girls going now as Elly is going back to Austrailia for march to see her sister and some friends and :hug:

am thinking of going with TGR instead of VEA.... Anyone got any thoughts on this??? would greatly appreciate advice! will be arriving at CDG at 9.40am on the tuesday and flight home is at 9.20pm on the friday i think. Thanks

Time for another update!! Got our TGV tickets! Only three months until we're there. Got some scarfs and hats and of course the essential thermals. Once christmas comes it'll fly in. We have disney on ice in the meantime to give us our disney fix!

It's all coming together now! :goodvibes

Travelodge - what a bargain! Sounds like you're all set, shame your friend had to drop out :hug: just look on it as a reason to go back again!! ;)

lol DP thinks im scraping the barrel for excuses to go!!
hes coming next year for Christmas, a little unwillingly but he reckons its the best option for a family hol, i think he'll be converted yet!!

I was holding out for the Travelodge sale, we barely missed out on free meals cause we wouldnt wait an extra 3 days to see what offer would come up before booking DLP but we've saved a good bit on our original pricings though so we're happy out :cool1:

all set now for our trip!! only 58 days to go! its going to fly now we're passed christmas. really looking forward to it now after a not so great christmas. i can almost smell the coffee from the market deli and just about hear the park music! come on march and get here quick!! :cool1::cool1::cool1:

Where are you staying Jo?? You're the week before us, its all getting close now :banana:

getting set now :goodvibes
ive bought the few essentials - thermal socks and travel toilettries! and have put them in my suitcase... only to find i'll need to bring a bigger one!! make up, hairdryer and all the warm boots are going to take up alot more space then id bargained for :goodvibes

going to apply for shareholders and my sons very 1st passport this week too :banana:

am a bit anxious.. its my turn to drive to/from the airport and im dreading the 2 hour drive home as im finding it hard to drive at night lately... think my eyes need testing :sad1:

Where are you staying Jo?? You're the week before us, its all getting close now :banana:

Only seeing this now - we are headed for the Hotel New York - so can't wait! Laughing at your next post - packing already????lol - I thought I was bad!

Where did you buy your shares in Ireland? I keep meaning to look at getting some as that shareholder club sounds brilliant - lots of savings!! How many did you buy and if you don't mind me asking how much were they and do you have to pay an annual maintenance charge on them???

Sorry for all the Q's

Soooo nearly there!

I need to open an AIB bank a.c 1st as BOI dont do shares and once the account is open I will buy shares. Theres a minimum number of shares which must be bought to allow you to join the shareholders club (i think 5 - but any less then 20 and you pay disneyland an annual shareholders subscription of €30). So once the shares are purchased you send off a shareholders application form and once its processed receive youre card. The last time I looked I think the shares were about €4.50 each. Hope this helps :-)

Lol im dying for it to be march 1st!! If the bits are packed I cant wear/use them!! Safest option :-) HNY looks fab. Love the art deco design.

Thanks for that - I don't have an AIB account either! Do you just go into the bank to buy the shares?

You are probably right putting the things into the case now - I bought those bearpaw boots that Lolalorean (spelling????) recommended for my Feb trip but wore them from the day I bought them - they were just way too comfy!

sorry im only seeing your reply and it just happened to come up in another of your posts! will definately llok in TK Maxx! and would you believe im going to open the AIB account today so i will enquire and pm you about it, i'll send you on the shares code aswel.

travel documents have arrived :banana::cheer2::banana::cheer2:
but having no luck with my car at the minute! more unwanted bills :headache:

Thanks appreciate that! You won't believe it but my car needed to be serviced last Friday - left it in thinking about 130 euro max - phone call later .......2 shocks gone (damn rutted snow roads!) 2 new tyres needed and a leaky watsit????? could not understand what he was on about anyway end of the day 550 euro! aggh - eats right into my Disney spends!!!

OMG Jo :scared1: thats whats up with mine... and NCT test later and i have to fix/repair/replace: 2 back shocks, a wheel bearing, a handbrake, a wing mirror, a leaky steering linkage and a seat belt.... this is going to cost a bomb for labour alone (get the parts dirt cheap cause my dad sells car parts and oil etc) but still... im blaming the snow aswel because the list of things it failed on before the snow was tiny and i couldnt bring it in until last week with the snow and swine flu... aaaaargh

plus the mechanic cant take it until next week and i'll have to rush him because i have 5 kids (including my 2 lunatics) the following week as DPs sis is going to hospital and we have her 15 y.o son, 11 and 10 y.o daughters... i expect i'll have pulled my hair out before march rolls around!!
