.

I just saw your pics on the impressions website, and they are amazing! I honestly think if your wedding was a year ago, I would have copied a lot of it! I LOVE your cake. I can't wait to read and see more :goodvibes

Since some "people" obviously mean me I will address it this way-I was not trying to start a fight at all. I was just saying that you should watch what you write. Like I stated above I did not disrespect her or her wedding in any way. Since people on this board are really the ones that are so "overly sensitive" and can't take constructive criticism, I will refrain from posting on this particular blog. It just seems that OP does not always realize how lucky she was to have the wedding she had and takes it for granted. That is the last I will say about that. Ciao!:thumbsup2

Oh my goodness. Rude comments like this are what made Cassie leave us the first time! I really don't want to miss out on this awesome wedding TR. Please, Cassie, don't go!!!!!!

That is the famous bear lady

Sorry the other 'thread' was closed. That is a new term to me.

The lady who is always at the Grand Floridian Hotel is my sister, Lynn, who lives near there and is definitely Not homeless.

Her late Husband, Bruce, used to be there often, too, but would often go off and do other things while Lynn listened to the music.

She takes her bags of teddy bears with her everywhere and has for many many years.

Lynn has a terrific sense of humor, but she does hear the beat to a different drummer, as the old saying goes.

Bruce suddenly passed away from a brain aneurysm October of 2007, which was a shock to all of us. He had a fantastic sense of humor as well, and the two of them couldn't have been more perfectly matched.

Lynn will be 67 in March, so she isn't as old as some thought. I am 65, and at times, websites like this one are somewhat of a struggle for me to figure out how to use, so I hope you will be patient with me.

Even as a child Lynn was rather overly imaginative. I remember when one night she got me to drag her into our closet so she could pretend she was a doll and 'catch' all of the toys come 'alive' when the rest of us were asleep. She was probably around 7 or 8 at the time. She was dissappointed the next morning that none had come to life, but she reasoned it all out that the toys must have realized that she was really a human and not a real toy.

So, Lynn is not homeless, but she is OCD. One day she will no doubt tire of going to the GF and go off into something else.

She and Bruce used to love to hand out teddy bears to children, but only after asking the children's parent's permission first. They have been going to Disney since it opened, and have spent a small fortune there, taking 4 kids there very often, spending almost more time in the place where people camp than at their own home, renting golf carts. So, if anyone thinks either of them were or are freeloaders, they are very wrong.

The person who wrote #43 on the original site about my sister needs to learn compassion for those less fortunate than she is. With the way the world is today, she could be homeless right now. I hope that is NOT the case, but if it is, I can't help but wonder if she would even give a thought to what she wrote about homeless people when many thought Lynn might be, and she really didn't like the idea of Lynn being in the hotel if she was homeless. I seem to remember that she didn't even want Lynn there if she wasn't a guest at the hotel. My goodness, don't you think there are literally thousands of people that go into these hotels to eat in the restaurants, or listen to the music, etc. It is a public place.

Lynn has a LOT of friends at the hotel, as well as a few like the above person, who resent her being there daily.

Who is she hurting? No one.

At any rate, I hope this satisfies everyone's curiosity. Thanks to all of you who were kind in your remarks about her.

Lynn's Sister,
Tracy Joan
Nashville, TN

I was wondering if anyone knows her story? I really wanted to ask her and didn't have a chance. Everyone who I asked at the GF confirmed what Bill said and said that she has a disability. She has to have a story and its probably a pretty awesome one. I took a million pictures of hte lobby to try to get this without her realizing I was photographing her. She seems so adorable. How many people do you know who get dressed up with fancy wigs and take their dolls out for the afternoon? I just think she is so adorable :lovestruc

I don't think I'ever heard of her, but I remember reading about a "towel lady" ... I don't know if they are the same person. The story, if I remember correctly, was about how this person would bring towels and treat them like they were actual babies...I think there was some back story about how she could never have children, or had children who died. I don't remember.

I think it's kind of sad and seems like dementia or some other severe mental problem.

On a less depression note; can't wait to see all your pictures!

EDIT: DisneyDmbNut posted while I was typing. Interesting story.

Subscribing.... popcorn:: I am looking forward to reading all about your experiances and hearing all of your stories!! Thanks for sharing!

Cassie, there are some friends that I have on Passporter who actually have asked the lady you saw in the GF with the Teddy Bears to join her for dinner and such, and others whom have struck up conversations with her and claim she is such a sweet lady. They have told me how when she sits listenig at the GF to the music she is there wig her memory of her late husband.

In a way her with her Teddy Bears reminds me of my Grandma(especially after my Grandfather's passing) with the Teddy Bears and giving them to new parents at a hospital near her when they take their newborns home(I'll share her story with the bears and the capes she hand knits with you in a PM though).

Please continue sharing your Wedding Experience with us. I know we don't want to miss out or see you go again, and I am sorry some other brides on here have been and are being rude to you. I am glad you did have a terrific planner(and believe me as being a Wedding Planning Student, I hope to work for DFTW one day). Yes all planners are supposed to make each Bride's Wedding feel important to them while making their vision a reality, there are some planners who just see it as "I'm gettig paid, so I don't care" and others who go above and beyond. Not every planner is matched well to their bridal couples, but I am so glad to hear you had one who worked perfectly with you. That is what should matter:)!

What a beautiful Tea. I had to laugh when you made your comment about a child's security blanket being taken away. That's how Skyler feels without his royally chewed Winnie the Pooh. I love the menus and the napkins. So pretty! Have a great day at work. P.S. You look so much like Belle:)!

the tea sounds wonderful and i love the Chip napkin!! Chip is my favorite, he's so cute!! Great poem.

I also wish we had had the Roots (or anyone) photograph the tea party. I had so many neat elements, and only have guest pics, which don't really do justice. But, I'm glad you had a good time nonetheless.

Cassie, so happy that everything seems to have gone so perfect for your magical day. Cannot wait to hear more and of course, see more photos.

Betsy, thanks for posting about this 'bear lady' at the GF. I don't think I've ever seen her and will now have to keep my eyes open. What a precious story.

And Cassie, oh my, your puppy is soooo very cute.

I am so glad you are back! Your wedding was so beautiful. The tea party is so cute I love those napkins.
