I am really debating the MK shoot. I would LOVE to do this - I think it is an incredible opportunity. I would regret it years down the road if we don't do it. But DF thinks it is too expensive - I agree $1100 is a lot for one hour (it's about what we are paying our wedding day photographer for the entire day!). I guess I need to find out more info about the cd prices and what comes with the $1100. I will have to email my consultant tomorrow morning.
I am thinking about making our own centerpieces and doing silk flowers to save some money so we can put it towards this shoot instead. Does anyone have any other suggestions on how we can save money?
Hopefully I will have a wedding dress by the end of the weekend!
I said almost the exact same thing you did on another thread! We (I) am debating this as well, DF thinks it's way too much, but he thinks everything is expensive... I am doing my own silk bouquets to save money, and I wanted to do my own centerpieces as well, but ADH won't let you. I think silk bouquets and making your own centerpieces are great ways to save money! Some people spend sooo much on floral, and while I would if I could, I would rather put it toward things like the MK shoot. I think if you can swing it, do it. I think if I don't I will regret it a lot, and there aren't too many other things I feel that way about.I don't know what your plans are, but another few things we are doing to save money:
Cut one night at GF for one night at Contemporary and staying with parents there, saving us about $450
Cut one night from our Disneymoon (we are also going to Hawaii), saving about $500
Like I said, floral and decor we are spending very little on.
You have to pick and choose, which elements are most important, at least that's what everyone keeps telling me
