I was at Disneyland Sunday (with all the other Signature and Deluxe AP's) trying to get my last ride on my favorite Disney attraction before it shutters its doors for good in January. When I got in line at noon the wait said 240 minutes. My wife said I was crazy but I decided to wait. Well, it took all 240 minutes... and then some. About 3/4 of the way through the line we started moving a lot faster so I checked the wait time and it was down to 80 minutes!!! Bad luck for me but I imagine one of the elevators had been down (no pun intended) and was now working. When I finally got inside I must admit I have never been so happy to see the Hollywood Tower Hotel Lobby in my life! It was even better since the Silver Lake Sisters were performing, which was a welcome bit of entertainment after 3 hours of waiting in the cold wind with no cell service. For the first time, I got to take the elevator on the left, and delighted at looking at all the props on that side of the room. Then I got to go up all the stairs to the very top level to catch the elevator, which was a first for me also. When I finally rode it was just as exhilarating as it has always been, and was worth every minute that I waited in line for it. I'm sure Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission BREAKOUT will be awesome but TOT will always hold a special place in my heart and I look forward to getting back to Hollywood Studios to ride it again in the future. A funny ending to my story, when I got out of line I called my wife, who decided to take the kids to get a picture with Santa Claus.... and also waited 3 hours lol. I guess I wasn't so crazy after all!

That's some serious dedication! I would have loved to see the singers while I waited, but not sure I have it in me to do a 4 hour wait.

Wow, 240 minutes?! I probably would have waited that long as well.

I can't believe its finally almost gone. I wish I could have ridden it again (last time was August this year). I am cautiously optimistic about the Guardians Tower on my next visit in September 2017 -- but I will miss the ToT for sure!

I was there on Sunday as well...and walked right on by when I saw that wait time. I've done it enough! Very cool that they had entertainment though. That's really cool.

I would have skipped, no way my boy could handle waiting that long. Or just gone at a different time.
My impressio is that the guardians ride will be near identical, just different theming. I know the theming is a big deal, but 240 minutes is just too much for me, or even 120 minutes. Longest I've waited was RSR about 120 minutes, and that was awful.

I'll be there first thing on Saturday morning at rope drop, then RSR.

We were there on Sunday as well at that same time and luckily we had a set of any ride FP's from the day before that we were given because Screamin' was down. We also had pulled a FP for 3:10 hoping to ride it one more time before we had to leave for the airport but with a long wait we couldn't so we gave our's to 4 lovely young ladies in front of us who let us have Row 6 for our last ever ToT ride....we really appreciated that.

It took us 1 hour and 10 minutes in the FP line as only one elevator was in operation. Each time we rode it we were in the top left elevator and it was awesome!! The Late Check Out was a blast....we did that 2-3 times it was so much fun!

Glad you got to enjoy it as well!

I'm envious that the pictures were working for you. I went to take my last ride on it a few weeks ago and was disappointed to find that the cameras were all not functioning. Was hoping to get that one last photo memory.

Seriously though, I thought it was bad when I waited 40 minutes in the FP line. 240 minutes is dedication. More power to you. I was there on Sunday, too, but I couldn't bring myself to spend my entire day waiting in line.

Wow, that's dedication! I've never waited that long for anything in my life. I love that ride too though!

I waited 50 minutes two weeks ago, longest I have ever waited for a ride. I cannot fathom 240 minutes, glad you got that last ride in.
