Spirit Airlines decided to drastically alter my scheduled flight and gave me a choice of going to my Disney trip one day early or one day late. Naturally I went with the lesser of the two evils and decided to go early.

The problem, I will be all by myself for a day before my friends arrive. I have planned out everything else for this vacation meticulously back in July.

I planned an easy arrival day with Disney quest and High tea
followed by 1 day in AK
1 day in Epcot World Showcase
1 day Epcot Future World
1 day Hollywood Studios
1 day Magic Kingdom
and the day of departure spending time in Downtown Disney before our flights

The question is what should I do on this day by myself. I don't really want to spend more money getting park tickets, any suggestions on something else I can do?

Thanks

tour the resorts, that costs you nothing and you get to see some pretty cool resorts. you could get a head start on shopping, trust me, you will not get bored looking through the shops twice in one trip.

I vote for resort hopping. Go visit the animals at AKL, go to the boardwalk and people watch and catch the Epcot fireworks.

Rent a bike at VWl and ride along the paved path to the campgrounds. while there visit the animals in the barn and look for the hidden Mickey's inside the barn.

My BF and I will have a day or two outsides of the parks when we visit WDW, so we thought about going to the Boardwalk, touring resorts like Fort Wilderness Lodge, and going to Downtown Disney. Seems like a lot to do, including if one is inclined to do so lounging around at the pools or walking around in nature.

Walk around Downtown Disney and the Boardwalk. Both are cool to hang out in at night especially.

The "more money" would only be about $10 or so to add on another park day.

I would go for adding 1 day to your pass, probably wouldnt be too much $
If you really dont want to do that, I'd tour the resorts, and bars there, and Downtown Disney. That would end up costing me even more that the extra part day though!
Last trip, my DH was sick, so I had a day on my own. I went to Epcot, to the Living Seas. I must have sat on the ledge at the Dolphin tank 2-3 hours. It was great, no one wanting to move to the next thing, I just watched the dolphins play for a few hours. It was amazing, and a relaxing way to spend my time.
