So it looks like I might have some alone time at the end of our trip. DH has to fly home early for an unexpected work thing. We discussed just canceling the last night of our reservation and me going back with him, but ultimately decided I should just stay the last night and enjoy the extra time.

Though I'm disappointed for him, to tell the truth, I'm actually kind of excited. I've never been in DW by myself. What would you guys do if you had 24 hours in the World by yourself? I'm thinking all those things others I travel with don't seem to enjoy as much. Shopping at Disney Springs, nighttime shows, early am breakfast at BOG, Fantasyland rides...We also found out a little while ago that we're expecting our first child, so I can't wait to pick up a few cute baby things :)

Thoughts?

Just do exactly what you want to do! I would probably opt to stroll around the world showcase and really explore the countries.
Treat yourself to a nice dinner.
Shopping in Disney Springs

Have a great time and congrats on the new little one!

Are there any things that your husband doesn;t care for that you do or might enjoy? Obviously the thrill rides are now off limits to you.
If he doesn;t like say Mexican food, it'd be a great chance to enjoy that at Epcot's Mexico. Same with rides and shows. Have fun.

I think like pa. said do what your husband dose not like. I go to disney all the time a lone and it is so much fun to do what I want when I want have a great 24 hours it will go by so fast.

I too would spend it at EPCOT in the countries. I always wanted to snack around the world and never get to do it. Enjoy!

I would walk around looking at details and take a ton of pictures. I am a terrible companion when I am focused on taking pictures. I might shop/browse more too. Spa treatment would be nice too. Pamper yourself now, while you have time.

ahhhhh it's my DREAM to get to go one day just all by myself! Well first off I'd be having snacks all day long and no real meals :) ice cream at 10am? Sure! Don't mind if I just have cupcakes for lunch? I think I would like to also do some crowd watching...once when my son was an infant, he was napping in the stroller and my husband took our older son on a few rides. I sat on a bench in tomorrowland just relaxing with a cold lemonade, watching all the people going by. It was soo awesome. I would also check out every single store - my husband hates to do shopping. So skip all the shopping when he's with you, and save it for your last day. Consider gifts that you might give in the future too, maybe something you can get for him for his bday, Christmas etc. I would also go to a couple low-key shows around World Showcase - my husband isn't into shows, so it would be nice to get a snack and watch some of the performances. All the World Showcase shopping places would be fun to check out.

Thanks for all the suggestions! DH and I both love eating/drinking around Epcot, so we do plenty of that, and we have time set aside this trip to do exactly that together before he leaves (obviously without the drinking this time). But he is less keen on Main Street and Fantasyland, so I think I'll spend plenty of time there. He also doesn't enjoy early morning park breakfasts, so that's on the to do list!

Definitely taking the shopping suggestions to heart ;)

Have a great time and congrats on the new little one!

Thanks so much!

I would ride everest all morning, have a meal at the California grill and the wave, then shop at DS without my husband whining about having to go shopping then spend the evening in MK :) enjoy your solo 24 hours! I'm super jealous!

Congratulations!!! :D Have a wonderful, wonderful time! Maybe get a silhouette done on main street, a pair of baby's first mickey mouse ears ... if you haven't announced yet, a pair embroidered with something to hint at it would be very cute... maybe meet a favorite character and tell them the exciting news to see how they react? That would make some adorable pictures!

I have major baby fever but need to wait another year or two before we TTC... you've just inspired me to have a babymoon at Disney! I hope your trip is completely magical and you have a happy and healthy pregnancy and little one!

Thanks so much for the kind words! Yes, we are very excited to celebrate this special news at Disney. I do plan to get one of those My 1st Visit buttons and pin it on my stomach for a picture. We'll show it to family/close friends once we announce the news :)

Thanks for all the suggestions and tips!

Very cute! :) You are so welcome!

I got a solid 6 hours solo in the MK and it was the best! I'd love 24 hours to myself! I'd probably spend the time in MK, because there's so much to do and it's probably my favourite park!

If I wasn't worrying about money, I'd book dinner at Cali Grill, because I LOVE sushi and DH hates it! ;)
