Hi All--24 days till our first ever holiday season WDW trip! Sooooooooo excited. I'm not usually one to borrow trouble, but I am developing a little case of butterflies. What should I be doing at this point? ADR's all made, even a couple rearranged. Should I confirm them? Do you usually confirm your other ressies...car rental, resort, etc...? I'm sure everything will turn out ok, but...:scared:

I confirm everything prior to our trip - from travel to ADRs.

Just a few things you can be doing now:

*Check your supply of sunscreen, travel toiletries and replenish whatever is low/gone.
*If you are taking a digital camera, assess your memory situation -- do you need more memory cards? Will you be able to dump photos to a computer each day?
*If you are a pin collector/trader, pull out your pins and make sure they are ready to go.
*If you have any hard tickets (MVMCP, Cirque du Soleil, etc.) make a copy of the confirmation numbers for your order and place that copy somewhere besides where the tickets are. Having the copy will help you get them replaced should you lose them.
*Are you driving? If so, having the car checked out is good. I would also have it waxed and have the inside cleaned.
*Do you need to have your mail stopped? I think this can be done online now...? How about newspaper delivery - do you need to put in a stop order for it?
*Do you need to arrange for anyone to come water plants, check on things, etc?

We leave in less than 48 hours and I am with you... the butterflies are getting to be painful!

We always ship two boxes to our resort. We shipped those yesterday, via UPS ground, and they will arrive at CBR tomorrow. I used the lists that I comprised from the Dis and shipped everything that I could, to avoid having to lug everything through the airport. IF you want to ship, you could be calling the different delivery companies to find our shipping times. I put the two large boxes in the family room about a week and a half ago. As I checked off the packing list, I would place the items in the boxes. On Monday, I reorganized all that had been placed in the boxes, ziplocking anything that could open and potentially spill, packed clothing around everything to avoid anything breaking, printed up the shipping labels to and from Disney... all while carefully marking my packing list and checking it twice.

The most important thing that you should be doing now is ENJOYING the delicious anticipation! :yay: That is one of the most delightful parts of a Disney vacation, IMHO.

Have a great time!

Laurie
