They were just delivered...wow, that was fast. Shipping notice on Wednesday, delivery on Friday.

Did the tracking ever show it leaving pre-shipment or did it never move from there? Got my notice yesterday and still in pre-shipment today.

If you're talking about the USPS tracking site, then no worries. Mine stayed that way and I kept thinking that it would just show up without updating. But yesterday it changed to a local distribution center, so it really is moving. I'm hoping that they show up today, but I'm betting no later than Monday.

It did. It was in preshipment for over 24 hours, then showed it had shipped. I received them the day after that.

We got the shipping notice today - both by email and and the tracking link is on MDE. Sadly, MDE says the earliest arrival date is November 20, and we leave for Thanksgiving on November 19. Clicking the link just says they received notification.

That said, the link on the second set (first sent) says they will arrive between November 15 and November 17. They actually arrived on November 12th. I'm hoping that it was also sent 2 day, so we might get them in time for our decorating party over Thanksgiving.

Per MDE, we're at 21 days.

THanks but I doubt it. The USPS site now says the 25th, which means I won't see them until either Wednesday 12/3 or Thursday 12/4. Mail is being held until the 1st, and I get home on the 3rd or 4th.

The bands we didn't ask to be expedited were shipped with 2 day shipping. The ones with 2 expedition requests are going parcel post. Maybe they should have done more testing before rolling it out. Maybe I'll call and complain. Not that it will do any good.

I finally received mine yesterday, with just a couple weeks to go. I didn't have any nicknames or anything unusual on them as far as personalization goes. Maybe it is just a busy time, or maybe they ran short of stock or something. I did order red because it's a holiday trip . . . . . I was just happy to see the box in the mail! My email notice said they would be delivered by the 18th, and they arrived the 15th.

We booked a last minute one night reservation and I personalized our magic bands the next day (Nov 13), and they shipped USPS on Nov 14.

Expected Delivery Day: Saturday, November 22, 2014.

I'm expecting it won't take that long to come from TN to NJ by USPS?

We're leaving Dec 4...plenty of time!

Our reservations were booked with points through our credit card (American Express Platinum) and we had to change all the address info to ours, (it had a Chicago, IL address listed) I am not sure if that could cause a problem with others if they forgot to do that...

Sigh. Disney basically told me nothing they could do about the ridiculous delivery time for our bands. They will arrive while we are away, and hopefully will arrive when the rest of our mail is delivered on December 1. I spoke to a supervisor and asked when two cast members told me they were expedited, they were shipped parcel post, and when we didn't ask for expedite they were shipped two day. I also pointed out that it didn't make sense that it should take two weeks from freeze date to ship and that any delivery takes 10 days.

She told that a. They don't ever expedite (me: oh, so the cast members lied?)
and b. They never ship two days, just regular mail.

She did say that if I got home and the bands were missing, they could be replaced and set to the resort (after saying, you have the tracking number, they won't be lost).

So, if you're tight on time, don't assume expediting works.

I will add...we keep ours accessible in our backpack, since we need them for Magical Express. (We do NOT pack them in our luggage). I take the out of the box and keep them together with a carabiner clip.

protected from what? they are made from very durable rubber. just slap them on your wrist when you are about to leave. No packing necessary, just wear 'em

last thing you want is to pack them somewhere you cant get to when you arrive at WDW and you need them

That silly box was one of the only things in my handle tote for the plane. Biggest waste of space! LOL!! Next time, we all wear the bands and toss the box. Seriously, you are right, you need the bands if you you want to breeze onto DME, so just wear them.
