...

Not a fan of the green ribbon but the purple one looks fab (and so did the pink).

I do like your blue shoes and they can be your something blue. You could always change shoes for the reception and get purple or pink shoes as well, as in my mind you can never have too many shoes.
I think the pink is my favorite so far!!

I have been secretly looking for a pair of animal print flats for the reception!!;)

Maybe your planning session in a few days will help you decide on colors and stuff a little better. Sometimes it's nice to get a "professional" opinion.

You aren't a professional??:headache:

:lmao:

I'm going to show Eric some stuff tonight...I really want us to have a solid plan before we go to our PS...nothing like getting more confused!

I loved writing papers on that stuff. The nutritional science degree was basically a biochem degree. I also majored in evolutionary anthropology. I'm thinking about getting a masters in either biochem or genetics. Right now I'm teaching Chemistry, but I also can do Bio. I love imparting my freakish love of science to kids, even though usually they just laugh at me.

I'm such a geek I'm going to order a vanity license plate of C6H12O6.

And I was about to order a geeky shirt today that said Sweet as (insert diagram of glucose in chair configuration) but instead I order one with a heart with Au on it. haha

Greatest license plate ever! :rotfl: And to go with my biochem degree... a classics minor! :rotfl: Archaeology is so fun. :) And I totally have the Heavy Metals shirt from ThinkGeek.com... I love it so!

But you must have LOVED the news this week! HIV vaccine, water on the moon, a pregnant woman getting pregnant again, mini T-Rex's uncovered... A great week in the name of science!

I like this idea, because it involves buying more shoes! :rotfl:

And I do like the purple color on the cake too. Sorry we are so confusing! ;)

And Mandy, sorry for hijacking your thread in the name of SCIENCE! One day, I will have one of my own to completely digress on! ;)

LOL! Is it that obviously I'm not a professional wedding planner?!? :rotfl:

Blue shoes for the wedding. (Or maybe pink? Or purple? Or green?) AND animal print for the reception? Girl, you need to go to shoe shoppers anonymous! ;)

I'd probably just stick with one pair of shoes so you don't have to try to break in two pairs. However, maybe flats wouldn't need to be broken in? I don't know. I wore heels to the ceremony. I didn't break them in enough and my feet were killing me by the reception. So I wore white sneakers for the receptions. Not very fashionable but you couldn't really see them anyway and it made dancing easier.

See! That's why I was thinking flats...if my feet are hurting it would be nice to have flats to change in to :) The animal print is just for fun!:cutie:

I saw pink or purple on the cake. Pink pops more, but the purple looks really elegant too! I think you could keep the blue shoes if you wanted, they could be your something blue and don't really need to match anything else. Animal flats could be cute for the reception, just be careful that your dress won't be too long then, sometimes it's annoying to keep stepping on the dress.

You know, I was thinking last night... if you really wanted the green/purple combo, there could be an easy way of incorporating it into your invites. Have you sent them out yet?

Couple of suggestions:
1. Purple envelopes (Don't know if you have these yet or not)
2. Since it does have to fold up, use a purple ribbon to keep it all together, like so:

3. Or just get some purple confetti and add some "pixie dust" the envelopes! :goodvibes

Then you could just stop with the blue there at the invites/shoes possibly! And it would be really easy to find a purple that matches your invites already. ;)

It can be done tastefully. I have seen brides on here put little warning labels on the outside of the envelope too saying "Warning, may contain pixie dust." I thought it was funny! They used a mickey punch to make some Disney themed confetti. I have also seen fake snow and fabric rose petals as well in with the invites.

Edit: And I love the zebra flats in the last picture! :)

I don't doubt that some people like confetti. More power to them. I just can't stand it. I also HATE glitter. If I get a birthday card or anything with glitter on it, I open it over the trash can, read it, and throw it away. Otherwise I'm finding glitter all over for months. LOL. Thankfully most of my relatives feel the same way so I don't get too many glittery things anymore.

I do like both the pink and purple...so does Eric. Then he laughed and told me to stop showing him pictures he had his mind made up!
