I think I have them growing under my deck now- (purplish though so maybe not seems most are red) but they have a little pod kind flower that kind of looks wheat like? does that make any sense.

And thank you for posting this. I was having trouble breathing myself today and didn't know why. Now I do!
And I'll keep the kids in tomorrow too. I have one with asthma. We'll have an indoor organizing day.

Here's a ? if this is growing near my A/C unit outside could it be coming into my house that way? Because lately I've been waking up coughing? And I am not a smoker!

I live in an area with high pollen and unhealthy air quality almost every day (lots of smog). I have terrible allergies and "live with it". When I go out of town on business and/or vacation and am gone for at least a week, I'm always shocked at how bad I feel the first few days after I return until I acclimate again to the bad air here.

I just googled chenopods and it appears that there are several different weeds/plants that fall into this category.

I live in the Lehigh Valley and I can tell for sure how bad the air conditions are! I've been waking up with a stuffy nose for weeks! It's never a good thing when an air quality alart is posted!

We're not going anywhere today. I just put DD's nebulizer away, we haven't had to use it all summer. However, we were out of state for a long time. Interestingly, she had no asthma or respiratory problems while we were gone and my daily stuffiness was gone. Her doctor says allergies are so high here because we dont' get a long enough deep freeze (more than 2 weeks) in the winter, so the pollen and other stuff keeps building up each year. IDK, but I never had allergy problems until moving to PA.
