Since you're in the woods anyway... Did you know tarantula spiders are referred to as "nature's jewelry" on tarantulaspiders.com? Calling them 'new age pets' the site makes it sound sort of promising and has links to order spiders & supplies...

My mom must have done a good job on me cause I still think that way. Makes me itchy just looking at the photos... I sure wouldn't want to run into one... oh say... under my pillow in the morning...

I made 3 phone calls this morning as soon as I got up.. I had a hard time sleeping last night with all of this running through my mind and wanted to make sure the plan that DD and I had was truly the "best" one..

Didn't you know you're only allowed 1 phone call when you're in "jail"

My SIL has a cousin that does dumb thoughtless things similiar to "Nellie"
Her and her husband insist on staying in the one lake cottage up here...it's not safe to live in!!!!! The chimney is ready to fall and the roof leaks. But no one can get it through their heads it's not safe and no one wants to hurt their feelings and kick them out of it. They don't pay rent nor utilities on it for the summer yet bought new appliances for it last fall because they didn't like the old WORKING ones. They mooch food all the time and turn their kids and their umpteen friends loose to roam all over. Borrow stuff w/o asking. Rototilled up some yard space this year w/o asking and planted a garden. They have the nerve to complain that they can't use the garage...yet have never paid 1 cent to SIL's father, who owns the property. They want smores they use SILs gas outdoor fireplace w/o asking and leave the mess for us to clean.....it's endless!!!!!!!!!

We've learned to "let it go" and work on convincing SIL's father it's time to tear it down this fall and put in a playground area for his grandkids. For now we'll just continue to laugh at the dumb stuff they do and come home when it's too much to handle.

C. Ann I just got back from Denmark and popped on right away to see the update. I hope she DOES leave today and does not come not come back up at all this year. I also truly hope Nellie gets the help she needs.
