We just booked this cruise on Aug. 9. I am still in shock we are going. It will be our 2nd Disney Cruise. We are a family of 4 our son is 10 and our daughter is 8. We would love to participate in the FE, if we still can. The FE was 1 of the major highlights for my daugther on the last cruise.

If we are too late I understand that too.

My husband and I have been on the Magic one other time, sailing out of Port Canaveral back in 2006, western. We enjoyed, but didn't think we'd do a DCL cruise again unless someone else really wanted us to go with them (which is why we went in the first place). It was very nice, but not having kids, it's just not worth the price to us (compared to other lines, which we have cruised often). Well, we are going again!! Hubby was supposed to have major surgery this fall, but that's been pushed back to January, so we now have the vacation banked and just want to get away.

We are surprising our children, with this cruise.

We have a Nov. 2013 cruise on the Fantasy booked, and our children know about it. My daugther keeps saying she cannot wait until Nov 2013, now she will not have too. Maybe this will satisfy her until we can go next year. We got an awesome rate, we could not pass up. We will be celebrating our 15th Wedding Anniversary.

We have just booked on the Magic sailing 22nd September 2012, our 8th cruise with Disney, a gtee veranda cabin.

What troubles me is getting from Houston Hobby airport to Galveston, as we are staying for 3 nights near the airport and hiring a car but I cannot find a car hire company with a drop off in Galveston. We are so used to the ease of sailing from Cape Canaveral!

Any suggestions from fellow "Disneyholics" greatly appreciated.

HI Yvonne, Welcome to the cruise. What you can do is sign up for the Disney Transfers from the Airport. You would return your car then take the rental car shuttle back to the airport and pick up the Disney shuttle there. I have done this several times in Orlando and it works well.

Some disboarders are going to go down to Galveston early to welcome the Magic as she pulls in!

We are hoping to join the group for the arrival, i just have to convince my husband and our friend in TX who will be driving us around. I had mentioned it before and my husband said we couldn't ask our buddy to get up that early. Then, last night he told me tht he talked to our friend, and our friend said that we could probably do it-he'd use that morning for his sunrise photo shoot of the month (he's a photographer)! Keep your fingers crossed!

It's official! My husband gave the "okay" to go see the ship as she sails into port!!!

Now I need to order t-shirts from VistaPrint. Is it okay if I use the Welcome to Texas image? This will be the very 1st cruise for my family. It will be Myself, My Husband and our 6yr Daughter. its only our 2nd family vacation ever and we are SUPER excited. We will be celebrating my 36th Birthday and the 3 of us will be celebrating being together again. Both My husband and I are in the military and I am just returning home from a 6 month deployment.
