Hey Everyone,

My brother's 21st is in May and I booked a 1 bedroom at Boardwalk for a week starting the day before his birthday (that way he gets his first legal drink in Mouse land!). It's the first time we're going without our parents, and we're bringing two friends to celebrate with us.

I was wondering if you had any suggestions for what would be a good way to celebrate a 21st down in Disney? We've always gone with our parents, so the "scene" has always been a bit more mature-adult than anything else.

Last year, SSR delivered balloons to the room for my b/f's 25 and I was thinking that might be a good idea. And my brother has decided he wants to do California Grill for his birthday dinner (yum!), Tappen Edo, and Earl of Sandwich at some point.

I'm trying to figure out something to do that would surprise him, but I'm kind of drawing a blank. He's not a big party person or dancer, so I'm not sure if anything in Downtown Disney will be up his ally. I've never been to any of the clubs they have there, and he's not really into the dueling pianos of Jellyrolls (I already asked). The biggest thing he said he wants to do is the Kitchen Sink at Beaches and Cream. He also mentioned a water park one day maybe because his friend has only been down there twice before, and my friend never to a water park.

Any suggestions? I'm at a loss

Thanks everyone,
K

How about a jet ski tour of Bay Lake/Seven Seas Lagoon? I did that in Sept and it was the highlight of my trip. Or how about parasailing? That's something different. Or how about one of the tours--the Segways are lots of fun as well.

(Sorry I can't actually post a link cuz I am a new user, but I am sure you know how to copy and paste.)

Playing the "Drinking around the world" drinking game is fun and educational (If you remember it)

I have done it three times now and never got more than tipsy because I always shared the drinks with other people I was traveling with.

You can make up a passport or buy one at Disney and have a CM stamp your passport at every watering hole.

Prepare thy liver! :woohoo:

Definitely subscribing to this thread! My 21st birthday is in May as well!

I suggest going to Raglan! They have bars there and it sounds like it would be fun! I'm definitely doing the drink around the world as well. It sounds like lots of fun! I don't plan on drinking a lot so I will probably share my drinks with my boyfriend.

I haven't been there yet. But the last time I was around there it was at the end of April so it was getting pretty warm and they serve Irish style food which is really heavy. Especially in the warm months. Of course, the bar would be completely different. I wonder if they have trad music? I'd get a kick out of my brother trying to do a jig!

The Segway tours are fun! Unfortunately (for me otherwise it's a great idea) my Grandmother gave him this as his 16th birthday present because he was finally old enough to do it. Have you tried the one at Fort Wilderness? I've only done the one at EPCOT which was fun.

They have jet ski tours over there? I'll have to look into that! I think he'd really like that. Thanks!

That looks great! Since we're staying at BWV we can just totter back to the room :dance3: <-- that's us tottering, so if you're there and you see four people dancing, say hi! haha Sharing is probably the way to go, one drink in each country would have me flat on the ground! Tipsy would be a better state.

Stop by Jellyrolls that night. Make sure to put in a request with information that it's your brother's 21st birthday. Jellyrolls is a great place with dueling/complimenting pianists. I'm sure they can do something good to help him remember his 21st B-day. Make sure to have your camera with you. They may pull him up on the stage. Even though he says he's not into the dueling pianos, it's still a blast. It may change his mind.
