Hiyas all. In January we will be taking our DD who whill be 21 months old. What rides will she be able to go on? Can she ride Dumbo or the slow boat rides (Small World etc) Just curious if she will have anything that she can do while she is there. Thanks in advance for the help.

She'll love the many adventure so Winnie the Pooh, there is Peter Pan's Flight, Snow White's ride, Cinderella's Carousel, Aladdin's Magic Carpets, Tomorrowland Transit Authority. And that's just at MK, there are more at AK, plus plenty of shows that she'll love.

Great!! Thanks. My DW is scared that our DD5 will be having so much fun that our little one will be feeling left out. I'm trying to put a list together of everything she can do at each park to put my DW at ease and be prepared for when we get there. Everyone feel free to post what your own little ones enjoyed to do.

When we took ours that age, her favorite things were the parades---all of them. They are in the afternoon usually and you may be planning a nap time, but if you are in the parks the parades are a HUGE hit!!! She also love meeting the characters--the breakfast at Crystal Palace with Pooh and gang is a priceless memory. Every park has a Dumbo-like ride in it. The only thing to watch out for on rides is that just because there isn't a height requirement doesn't mean it is always appropriate for the age. Some rides are dark and some are scary. Depends on your child. A good place to run around is Tom Sawyer's Island too and there is a new Pooh playground, but it is VERY small.

There will be more for her to do than you think. We have taken our girls as young as 4 mos, and they have riden everything without a height restriction. 21 mos. is a great age to experience WDW! :) Our youngest is 15 mos, and our trip in one week will be her 3rd. She loves the Dumbo ride, the carousel, the Winnie the Pooh ride. Actually, I don't think there is a show or ride she hasn't liked. She's mesmerized by Spaceship Earth at Epcot, enjoyed Playhouse Disney Live at MGM...she loves it all! Enjoy!

I thought of something else my daughter loved at that age---The Jungle Cruise and the Safari. She loved the animals.

Yup. We took our little ones on EVERYTHING that didn't have a height restriction. They had a blast. Depending on how tall (and brave) your 5 yo is, there probably won't be too much they won't go on together. :)
Have a great time!

As others have mentioned, your DD will be able to go on all rides that don't have a height restriction. She'll need at least one parent with her, of course.

We first took DS to DL when he was 18 months and DD went to WDW when she was 13 months. There was plenty for them to do.

Some favorites for my kids: Dumbo, The Carousel, Country Bear Jamboree, Safari Ride, and The Lion King Show.

Don't forget to make an ADR for at least one character meal!

don't forget the new pooh's play area. I'll bet she will love that. Plus there is a little play area my youngest loves under the exit of Splash Mt. It is meant for someone her size and age. Have fun.
