DAY 17 - Celebration Town - Akershus

Slept in today until 11:30, and then............you’ve guessed.......... POR for brunch

Nigel: Salad + Chocolate & Vanilla Ice Cream + Apple Juice
Sue: Fish Basket + Ice Cream Sundae + Water
Emma: Chicken Nuggets with Fries + Chocolate Ice Cream + Fanta
We decided to take it easy today, after a late night, so we drove to Celebration and had a stroll around for a few hours.

For those who have yet to visit Celebration, this is a community development originally created by Disney in the mid 90's. It has one of the best locations for Starbucks!

We returned to OKW and had a sleep, since we were all still tired from the previous night.
We had an ADR tonight at Akershus in Norway, so washed and changed, we made our way to EPCOT
Check-in was quick, despite the rainy weather and we started off with an official photograph taken with Princess Belle.

We were seated quickly, and shown to the cold meats and cheese buffet. This is before your Entree is served. The selection is duplicated across two counters, so any queues move quickly.

After, emptying my buffet plate, our server took our orders and the meals were delivered quite quickly.

Emma: Sautéed Chicken Breast + Shared Dessert + Diet Coke
Sue: Citrus-Marinated Mahi Mahi + Shared Dessert + Diet Coke
Nigel: Seared Herb Dusted Beef Tips + Shared Dessert + Diet Coke

During the meal, we were visited individually by Snow White, Aurora, Cinderella and Ariel, who chatted and posed for photographs.

We left the restaurant just as the fireworks were starting, so in an effort to beat the crowds, we half watched them whilst walking back to the car.

Back at OKW, we had coffee then went to bed.

The food in Akershus was good. The self serve cold buffet has a good selection and it replenished regularly. The main meal was also good, but I had filled up quite a lot on the buffet visits.
My only groan would be the desserts. Share this plate amongst 3 people and you do not get a lot!

Thanks for the info, think Akershus will be on our list for next year, DD5 will love all the princesses and as long as the food is ok it will keep DH and DS11 happy

I cannot think of any other event, where this is included. Usually places you have to pay - Hoop - CRT etc
