20th Anniversary Disneyland Paris - Bring Back Old Magic - What do you wish for!

Dear Dis Boards friends,

In a few months, Disneyland Paris will become 20 years old. To commemorate this event, Disneyland Paris will (most likely) organize some special things... and maybe bring back some shows / attractions that were once staged / located at Euro Disney / Disneyland Paris.

Let's bring back some old magic! Let's give Disneyland Paris some inspiration. If they want to bring back some things from the past, to celebrate their 20th birthday, what should that be? What do you, a true Disneyland Paris fan, want to return at the occasion of the 20th?

My wish:



- Space Mountain, De La Terre à La Lune.
- Some floats of the Main Street Electrical Parade (as a kind of pre parade of Fantillusion).

I would like to see:

The return of the Main Street Electrical Parade.

Les Pirouettes du Vieux Moulin in Fantasyland operational again.

The Tarzan Encounter return to The Chaparral Theatre

The Legend Of The Lion King back in the Videopolis Theatre.

I'd love to see the Main Street Electrical Parade, I love listening to the music. I'd also like to see Fantasy in the Sky fireworks as I understand they were really good. And I'd love to see the return of Wishes, I think DLRP's version is far superior to WDW's.

And a show we were bowled over on our first visit by The Lion King and Tarzan. DLRP so needs a quality show.

Tarzan was an amazing show, we missed the Lion King last month too. There is a real lack of quality shows at DLP at the moment. The new stuff is so cheesy!

Tarzan, Electrical Light Parade and I'd like to hear Dancin' (A Catchy Rhythm) played somewhere in the park, if not during a parade then somewhere else. Also I'd like to see Streetmosphere back in Walt Disney Studios.

I would love the Tarzan show to be brought back along with the Main Street Electrical Parade (I love the music from that!)

I would also love to see the effects working again on the rocks on BTMRR opposite the Haunted Mansion.

I saw Main Street Elecrical Parade way back at WDW in 1990 then I know it moved to DLRP at some point after that and never got to see it there. We usually go to WDW every year (with some trips to DLRP inbetween) but this past summer, we booked for DLR and were gutted when the parade moved to WDW in Spring - just our luck.

We are back at WDW in summer so I personally am praying it stays there for the present time (at least till summer is over) - feel we are chasing it round the world. I still think that it would be a nice idea to move it to DLRP in 2012 for the 20th anniversary though (but not before - please....)

Would also like to see more individualised merchandise in the shops, and less staggered closing for attractions.

I'm just going to parrot everyone else and say SHOWS! I was lucky enough to see the Lion King and Tarzan in 2006 and really hope that wasn't my last chance to see quality stage shows at DLP.

The Geyser in Frontierland.....Operational again, yeah.....

I think it would be nice to do a parade or show with a medley of some of the old music, maybe bring back some of the characters we don't see around the parks so often. Sort of a decade of DLRP or something. I love listening to the old songs and reminiscing about old trips when the girls were little.

On our last trip they used Dancin a Catchy Rhythm for the characters coming down the stairs in the DLH. I had a tear in my eye!

Fantasy in the Sky fireworks was just great Elaine!

Did you know that the show featured Tinkerbell (stunt women) flying to the top of the castle? THAT, my friends, is magic!

Yeah, they were great when they worked. But I guess the cost of repair and the desruption to the lake means it won't happen.
