Assuming DVC discounted annual passes are still around in 2042 and being sold, then my guess is that you likely will still be able to purchase one in Jan 2042 and use it for a year, as long as you activate it before Feb 1, 2042, even if you cease to have any DVC ownership thereafter, although that is not certain. The passes are controlled by the parks and resorts Disney company, not the DVC companies. Pre-pandemic, when DVC members could purchase regular annual passes at a discount, the requirement was that they be members at the time of purchase and time of activation (which was done at the parks and one had to show a valid DVC Member card to get the actual AP) and could still use the passes thereafter even if they sold their DVC..Will we still be able to buy an annual pass in January 2042 if that is the last month we can use a resort?
I assume the same rule still applies even though the Sorcerer's Pass is one that can only be purchased by DVC members or Florida residents, as a like practice applied to tickets that only Florida residents could purchase -- they had to be residents at the time of purchase and activation, but thereafter could still use the pass if they moved to another state.
