2042 end dates?

I would gladly pay full freight tomorrow to extend my beach club points past expiration. Probably a slim chance that ever happens. The location is just too good and it is under utilized with the current room count. In 2042, I would flatten yacht/beach club and put a big tower there.

An actual extension (as we've seen with OKW) seems highly unlikely. If something like this happens at all, a short-lived new contract seems much more likely to me.

That doesn’t mean that’s what they’ll still be doing in the 2040s.

There’s also ways to build a tower that retain charm. Stepbacks or setbacks are typically used in tall buildings in dense cities to let some more sun reach the road, but the same concept when implemented on a much smaller tower can really hide how tall the tower is. Disney did this on the side of the DVC tower at Disneyland Hotel that faces the neighborhood and I think with pretty nice results.

Yea, I could see something more like WL or VGC type of building (5-6 floors) instead of a VDH, BLT style (10+ floor tower)

So happy I will be 89 in 2042. With an October use year I'm a little concerned with possibly using my points that last year. Trying to teach my kids how to manage my contracts - losing that battle.

My forecast for DHHIR - Marriott will absorb it. I'm almost certain they already share some resources. I just hope Disney keeps it until the end so that I can use my points there in my 80ties. I may have to settle for one of the retirement homes - OKW or SSR.

My thoughts on Vero - the Ocean will possibly reclaim it. It's a quaint and lovely place although I haven't been in some time. I think I should put some thought into spending a little time there before I give it up.

I own at BCV, BWV, VB and HH. No regrets. Still planning on possibly selling VB.

Won't be buying anything else. Will be staying at CFW in December. Gotta try everything while I have my health.
