Idk if it was because I was signed in to my rundisney account and already registered, but when I went to rundisney just now and clicked “join the waiting room”, it popped me right in. Might be worth trying in a separate browser/incognito? It was not in the same browser OR device that I registered on

Also, keep an eye out for things to randomly re-open for short periods of time over the next few hours. This has happened in the past.

It’s cause you’ve already gone through the queue. Once you get in it doesn’t make you wait again usually

All of my browsers are still at over an hour, so I just tried this. Didn't work lol

1 hour update. Best browser still at "more than an hour" but it's now two full thumbwidths. Have to figure out when it doesn't make sense for our group to go. Already two of the 5 can't do all of the races they can with the 10k sold out.
