Hey everyone! The 2026 Vacation Point Schedules are now available. There is only one minor change across the board from 2025.

Deluxe Studio (Standard View) accommodations at the Boardwalk Resort have seen a slight adjustment. For Travel Periods 1 to 3, the points needed for a Deluxe Studio from Sunday through Thursday nights have increased by 1 point. To balance this increase, there are corresponding decreases in Travel Periods 4 and 5. In Travel Period 4, the points for Sunday through Thursday nights have dropped by 1 point, and in Travel Period 5, the points for weekends (Friday and Saturday) have also decreased by 1 point.

Please note that travel period dates always change from year to year based on holiday seasons around Easter and Thanksgiving.

To help you maximize your planning, I’ve compiled the 2026 point schedules along with some historical data from previous years. Happy planning!

It appears standard view has been replaced by resort view at RIV and VGF as well.

It did not change for SSR because it’s not a view but a category for the section. I didn’t check any others as those are my home resorts

So now, we have Resort studios Resort view! lol

Yes there is, standard view is gone and replaced with resort view. The definition of resort view is parking lot or other areas of the resort. While Savanna is now partial or full savanna view. Seems to indicate those people pit standard view rooms are now SV S
There were several properties where Standard Views were replaced as Resort view. The points/night didnt change. These are strictly cosmetic/marketing changes to the name.

I wonder why 3 travel periods went up but only 2 travel periods went down for Boardwalk.
I'm only looking at the studios but I see the first 3 seasons went up but only travel season 4 went down?
Only the standard err Resort views being affected.

Number of days in each travel period are not the same.

Plus, you have to look at the charts 2 bedroom values for balance as since those are what is used when total points are created.

They sell based on that and not based on the lock off premium.

So it looks like the total number of points to stay at BoardWalk went up by 3 points compared to last year's point charts unless my math is off.

Sun-Thu Standard Studios in seasons 1, 2 and 3 went up 1 point a night.
Sun-Thu Standard Studios in season 4 went down 1 point a night.
Fri-Sat Standard Studios in season 5 went down 1 point a night.

No other rooms changed on the point charts.

The above post was per night for one room.

I had forgotten to multiply it by rooms.

Thanks to dvchelp.com and @skier_pete it shows there are 15 dedicated and 37 lock-off standard studios.

So the points chart now actually went up by a minimum of 45 points and a maximum of 156 points if none of the lock-off studios were booked as two bedrooms.

@Sandisw I thought the points had to balance out even if points shifted across categories/room types?

Points sold were determined by the 2 bedroom lock offs, so that is what you need to use

You can’t just look at studios on their own when deciding if balance happens because of the lock offs premium.

It can can adjust based on how many Friday and Saturdays there are…points can only be sold based on the minimum number of those…so not to be oversold in years when there are more.

So, you have to look at the entire chart with those lock offs studios as part of the 2 bedrooms.

Assume it is just a name change, similar to one made in the 2012 point charts which changed the name in the point charts for all the studios from "Studios" to "Deluxe Studios," and absolutely nothing changed in the rooms. However, the possibility might exist that the change from "standard" to "resort" may include some changes as to the classification of some rooms -- such as changing some previously standard view rooms to a higher class or some previously non-standard view rooms to the Resort Studio class.

Thanks! I've wondered for years how and when it was that we suddenly didn't have enough points for Thanksgiving at Hilton Head. We had enough (100) points for Sun-Thurs in a 1 BR in 2008. But in 2010, points were reallocated so we now needed 105 points. But the weekend points were lowered in 2010.
