We will be there during the October 29th and Jan 20th dates! Just missed the Dec 15th date by 1 day sadly.

Aww, none of the dates line up for me. I almost considered trying to do the DCA one since it's a more local park, but I'm going to WDW a few days after that and I don't want to overwhelm myself ( or my husband or my dogs).

I haven't been to MoonlightMagic for a long time. What happens? Still a free quick serve meal voucher, and free sodas and ice cream bars?

I don’t think there’s a meal anymore, just drinks and snacks. Do a Search of these forums for reports from recent MM - copies of the flyers are posted there.

I just moved our trip up a week to try for Hollywood Studios MM in April :)

We had 2 studios booked the following week and instead are trying VGF 1BR for the first time. If we don’t get a slot for Moonlight Magic at least we’ll be well positioned to enjoy EEH at MK that night! If anyone was able to pick up our May 1-6 Resort/resort VGF studio, you’re welcome.

Good luck to all:smickey:
Get that room! Get that MM ticket! Haha

Last November we tried MM at AK. Each guest received a set of 3 snack vouchers, with all locations and hours written on them (very helpful!). There were other complimentary snacks that didn’t require a voucher - Mickey Bars, popcorn, drinks, etc but those were at certain locations only. So like a Mickey Bar at Flametree might require a voucher but the snack cart in Dinoland complimentary. Something along those lines. Our favorite voucher uses were the Elote French Fries at Flametree BBQ and the Chicken Dumplings at Mr Kamal’s. Each park usually has some very satisfying options.

As people leave earlier than closing, many left their unused vouchers where others could pick up. Especially toward front of park on garbage cans, etc.

We're able to make the January one and have a qualifying registration!

Curious to know if anyone has been in the lobby right at the start of Early Registration and not gotten in? Are the chances pretty good if you're online and in the lobby right as 11am eastern rolls around? I'm wondering how much I should get my hopes up.

Last year registration covered all the Animal Kingdom dates Fall into Winter. Since people were limited to choosing only one date over multiple AK events, that really helped spread demand. In that specific case things ran much smoother and pretty much everyone who got a number at 11am were able to register. iirc even people showing up after 11am had some success as well - just that some of those 4 dates filled up sooner than others.

DVC has tried to spread the fortune a bit better and has slowly been making changes. All onsite reservations used to qualify and now only members using their membership may do early registration. A DVC rental won’t work. Staying on somebody else’s DVC points won’t work. The only cash bookings that qualify are Deluxe rooms booked through DVC Member Services.

They also tried limiting each membership to qualify only once per park, but that still seemed to have some people getting very lucky with others repeatedly striking out. That has now been adjusted - each membership can only qualify for one event each 2026 MM Season-
  • Winter: January – March
  • Spring: April – June
  • Summer: July – September
They have also spread the dates out in such a way that one trip is unlikely to cover 2 events. That was possible quite a few times in the past.

TLDR: Your chances are very high! The group of AK events should repeat how things worked out last year and most if not all got in.

Thanks for the helpful info. I have decided not to try to move my reservation and go for MM. If I don't get it into MM, I would regret moving my reservation, so decided it is not worth it to me. Thank you, and good luck to everyone.

Thanks so much for all of this! My hopes are definitely up. :)

This is the first time one of my dates lines up. It’s for August Typhoon Lagoon. I am wondering if a MNSSHP date will conflict.

I had two reservations from two different memberships for Easter. Just moved one to August and I hope I made someone happy when they get a waitlist fulfilled for the April timeframe.
