2026 MMB info Announced

I wonder what percentage of the membership purchases MMB? From perusing these boards, I sort of got the feeling like we are the only folks that didn't get it last year and have no plans to get it this year either, but an admittedly non-probabilistic sample of 4 or 5 members I know in the area all say they don't plan on buying it either (one still hadn't even heard of it - don't ask... I know...). Be interesting to know...
Id say a majority of owners dont even know it exists. Many are not on discussion boards, many dont read DVC emails or read the mail sent either, Id bet.

I bought last year because it was a good deal for Memory Maker alone and I always buy it.
But that was the only perk I used from it.
This year, I would love to use it and some points if the clouds would all align just right.

Also have a friend who uses it for the Sorcerers pass.

Any advantage to buying the ticket deal early as opposed to closer to our dates in March? Seems like its been forever since we actually used our DVC and I just want to make sure.
No I can't see any advantage of buying early vs closer to your trip.

There is a question you have to ask yourself though.

Will you want to go to a Theme Park on Saturday or Sunday? (You can use the waterpark tickets on these days but not the Theme Park tickets)

If the answer to the question is answered with a Yes you might want to consider the boards sponsor, Unlocked Magic or Undercover tourist or other sites that allow you to get 5 day tickets that work on the weekend if you don't care about the waterpark.

Earlier @camm2015 quoted $705.09 for 5 day with waterpark and $749.82 for 5 day hopper with waterpark for early February.

For example Unlocked Magic lists the tickets without the waterpark but the ability to go on Saturday and Sunday for 5 days at $721.18 (after tax) and if you choose the hopper $809.84 (after tax).

So the question then boils down to is going to the Theme parks on Saturday and or Sunday with no waterpark access worth the $16.09/$60.02 premium per ticket for you?

If you are ok with just going on the weekdays remember you can buy the MMB tickets with Gift cards so stop at Target/Sam's/BJ's or somewhere else and pick up some for a discount to use before purchasing them through member services.

Since you only bought it for the Memory Maker do you have an AP?
If so I wouldn't buy MMB if that is the only reason as AP's include the memory maker (RIP) or you can add it on for $99 (also RIP) or you can now add it on for $109.

So for as it it stands now its $10 more than MMB but it lasts for all of your trips that your AP is valid for not just 30 days.

Edit: years to days lol thanks @stat

I suspect that you're right. Fine with me, as long as Disney keeps the membership and doesn't raise the price! I've been using the heck out of it.

After spring break this year, I will have spent only $198 on MMB but received:
  1. 48 unrestricted points for $10 each
  2. 2 Memory Maker redemptions covering 4 trips (pro tip- if your trips are close together you just wait until the first trip's pictures are almost expired before you activate the memory maker)
  3. Jumping to the front of the line several times at all 3 lounges where the benefit works (doesn't help at Disney Springs)
  4. Epcot character experience
  5. Discounted Disneyland tickets (saving at least $500 over the next cheapest option)
  6. Free Aulani 8x10 photo
  7. Using points to get an annual pass
I struggle with completionist tendencies so I'm sure I'll use the "$95 fee waived" and discounted WDW tickets at some point 😅

Shhhhhhhhh! I don't want too many people to get MMB so that I can get better priority at the member lounges. 🤣

But those of us who can take advantage of the perks get quite a value from it. In a few weeks, we'll be in Aulani on a trip partially booked with the BOGO OTUPs & we'll be getting a free 8x10 photo. I'll get some more BOGO points in a few months when I'll be within 7 months of my OCT UY.

Let us know how you feel about the 8x10 print from Aulani.

I'm already getting good value from my MMB. But because I already have the PhotoPass option on my WDW AP, and it is included in my DLR MagicKey, I wish I could apply the MemoryMaker perk to my Aulani photos. My MMB MemoryMaker perk expired last year without being used.

That would be a great idea!

I just bought tickets this morning. Mine were $140 off the listed price on the Walt Disney World website for the Water Park and Sports option. Then tax was calculated on the discounted price. Mine have a start date of 1/21 and I paid $702.92 per adult ticket. These worked for us because we were not going to the parks on the weekend, we don’t park hop, and we were going to play miniature golf during our stay. It didn’t save a lot of money, but I saved a little.
But to answer your question, I don’t think a chart is going to be added. You will just need to find out the regular price for the dates you want and take the MMB discount.
Ugh! $140 off the WPS option? I was reading it as $140 off a base ticket and they were throwing in the water park stuff. Blah. Off to recalculate 😂

Yup that was how I read it at first too and how the discount applied last year too. It is still slightly cheaper than tickets without WP in my Feb analysis posted earlier but again these are just weekday tickets so you have to factor in the premium of going on the weekend is worth it or not.

I just called Member services and here is what I was told about the BOGO OTUP....
We have 2 memberships that both hubby and I are on.
I can buy MMB on one membership for my benefit and he can buy MMB on the other membership for his benefit.
But if I buy the OTUP, it will indicate on all memberships which my name is on that OTUP have been purchased and no one else can purchase OTUP on the 2nd membership

My head is spinning!
Hi. This is the same response I received via telephone and chat. My membership profile is slightly different. On one direct membership, it is me and my dad. On the second direct membership, it is me and my husband. On the telephone, I was told that if I purchased MMB on the first membership along with the bonus OTUP, then MS could see across all memberships that bonus OTUP were already purchased and that would disqualify my husband from purchasing them on the second membership.

I emailed MS with a specific scenario and asked them to either affirm or disaffirm. They didn't provide a direct answer so I followed up again. Again, their response was vague. Talk about making your head spin. Below is the emails from MS (which in my opinion, contradicts the info I received via chat and phone).

Response 1: As long as separate Members with access to separate Memberships opt in, the bonus One-Time-Use-Points will be applicable to the Membership respective to the individual Member. Each Membership cannot exceed 24 One-Time-Use-Points in total (12 purchased, 12 bonus).

Response 2: As long as both Members are able to buy Membership Magic Beyond, they can each buy the Bonus One-Time-Use Vacation Points.

We added two nights to make the weekday tickets work. Disney math. Hahaha!

But we decided we can go look at Florida Tech for my son on Saturday and go to a water park on Sunday. So it’ll work out for us!

Funny thing is I also absolutely hate calling service numbers for things in general, it stresses me out. But I have to say that for DVC and the cruise line I don't mind them as they are usually pretty helpful. Maybe I've just been lucky and always gotten someone in a good mood.

Well just spent 15 min explaining to my husband what he need to call and ask and say. Also sent it in writing via text. Hes not loving calling at all. "cant you just call and pretend to be me" 😂 We shall see if they allow him to buy MMB and get OTUP on our 2nd membership.
Not sure if I am more excited to hear how your husband does w/ calling MS or if you will get the additional bonus OTUP. I'm rooting for you and your husband!
