I think it's hard to say how the shirts will be since Brooks will be the new sponsor starting with Springtime Surprise. You can trade out the shirt for a different size at the expo though, as long as one is available.
I think it's possible that both demand is down and they were letting people through faster. But also the thing is... you can still have lower demand and races still selling out within a couple of hours. Like in the past you may have had 40k people competing for 20k spots, and maybe now it's closer to 20k people competing for those same spots. On IG I see only one person so far saying they missed out (on the 10k, they ended up signing up for the 5k), feels like an improvement over prior registrations, where you were guaranteed to have a bunch of people peeved that they were in the queue at 9:50 and missed out on what they wanted, the system is broken, they can never get into RD races, etc etc etc. January races will be interesting to watch.

Yes, before each race at our usual light pole and the HH meetup on 10K day happen every race weekend at WDW!
Usually W&D has a meetup on 10K day just like Marathon Weekend. It is usually smaller, due to the smaller size of the race. We will have to keep check on Hurricane Hannah’s, though because it is closed or closing with the pool refurbishment, and I don’t know when it reopens. Hopefully we can still have it there.
I think the pool work is supposed to be done by June, so everything should be fine in October

As long as your payment went through, you're fine. I registered for a race shortly after we moved a year and a half ago and had forgotten to change the address on my account. I went into my account afterward and updated it, but never bothered to change the race address. It was no problem at all -- never even came up.
You won't get confirmation. Assuming you've put in all the required information, the POT you provided should give you a corral aligned with the chart here. You'll officially find out what corral you're in when you check in and on the off chance you're in a later corral, you can go to Runner Relations to get it fixed.
